Hello friends. I welcome you all to my blog. I've been craving this slimy soup but haven't brought myself to cook it since it's isn't my favorite. My husband loves the soup, but I see it as a last option. I went to a local market to get food stuff, and the seller told me to buy the ogbono (bush mango seed) that it was very good and that I would look for to get more. I told her I wasn't really a fan of the soup, but I would just get it to patronize her. Well, I made the right decision because the soup turned out so great and I actually went back but couldn't find the woman that sold it to me anymore.

Ingredients
• 3pcs cow skin
• 1kg red beef
• 500g Stockfish
• 2 seasoning cube
• 3 onions
• 2 cooking spoon vegetable oil
•100g fresh pepper
•50g black pepper
• 300g dry fish
• half teaspoon curry
• 200g crayfish
• 300g ogbono (bush mango seed)
• 1.5 tablespoon salt
• vegetables (saint leaf and oziza leaf)

Cooking Procedure
Step 1
Wash proteins with salt thoroughly. Place in a cooking put and spice well to get a tasty stock.

Step 2
Wash the stock fish and dry fish. Cut the animal skin into a preferred size thats easy to chew. I added them to the meat stock and cooked for 15 minutes.

Also prepare the peppers. I used manual blender to chop the fresh pepper and added to the stock to cook along with the proteins.

Step 3
Pour in 300g of ogbono (bush mango seed) in a bowl, add palm oil and placed in the cooking pot to steam. Bring out, stir and add into the stock. Allow to cook for 15 minutes and it will thicken to the consistency you prefer.

Step 4
Lastly, prepare vegetables. I used two different vegetables here. Oziza leaf and saint leaf. I washed them and added them to the thickened soup as well as my crayfish and salt. It cooked for 3 more minutes and dinner is ready.

The bush mango seed was fresh just as the seller mentioned. It tasted fresh in the soup and gave it a nice taste.
The soup came out so delicious and my love for this soup was rekindled. Hubby enjoyed the soup and asked for it days after I prepared the soup. I'm happy I gave in to the seller request to try out this bush mango seed which is popularly known as ogbono in my locality.
Give it a try please if the seed is available in your region. You will enjoy it
