An Easy Way To Prepare Pakcoy Sauteed Egg Tofu

Tofu prepared with egg mixture is indeed very different, and this is the first time I've tried this tofu. Well know egg tofu is very rare to find in the local market. And it's only available in big supermarkets in my city, you need to know this is the first time I've tried egg tofu like this. Usually I enjoy plain white or fried tofu without any mixture. But out of curiosity I bought one yesterday, well the price is quite different from the usual tofu. The price is IDR. 7000 per seed, if I'm not mistaken. I only bought one seed because I was afraid that it would not suit my tongue.

Sauteed egg tofu is different from the usual stir-fried vegetables. It turns out really well for my normally spicy dishes. This time I'm going to make it lighter in taste, and just right for my health, which is starting to improve today.

After bringing tofu home yesterday, I immediately processed it into a fairly simple dish. Of course, combining it with other ingredients, namely my favorite vegetable pakcoy. Well pakcoy is very delicious, I really like this vegetable combined in various dishes, it is very tasty and tempting.




Let's start cooking!


Materials Used


Some of the ingredients used in cooking this recipe are very simple, and certainly easy to find in your kitchen. I prepared 1 egg tofu, then added 2 tablespoons of cornstarch to fry the tofu so it has a texture and the tofu doesn't crumble easily. This tofu is very soft, therefore combining it with flour is very good in my opinion.

Then, I prepared several other ingredients for the stir-fried vegetables. First, I prepared 1 pakcoy head weighing 100 grams. Then 2 shallots, 1 garlic clove, 1 green chili, and 1 red chili. As well as other spices 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce.




Cooking Steps


When cooking stir fry, you have to pay attention to the oil you add, usually I always saute vegetables with only 1 tablespoon of oil. I really don't like stir-fried vegetables with too much oil in texture. So, here I will invite you to prepare this dish as a favorite menu for dinner with your family at home!


Step 1

I first started by preparing the tofu, cutting it into pieces of medium thickness. Ignore my face getting dirty while preparing this dish.

Step 2

Rub the tofu with cornstarch over the entire surface of the tofu, then fry the tofu in a little oil.

Step 3

Fried until brownish yellow, and very beautiful color. This result is very beautiful and tempting me.

Step 4

Next, cut the pakcoy according to taste, here I cut it roughly, not too small.

Step 5

Sauté the shallots and garlic in a pan, then add the chopped chilies.

Step 6

Add pakcoy vegetables, and give a little water so that it cooks evenly.

Step 7

Next, add salt and sweet soy sauce, stir evenly and cook until cooked.

Finally, I stir the tofu into the pakcoy stir fry pan, turn off the stove and serve!

Pakcoy stir-fried tofu is ready to be served on a plate. I tried three styles of serving this dish, i'm not sure which style is the most appealing but I definitely like all three of these finishes.

What's interesting about this dish is definitely the taste, the first impression of trying the tofu, is soft and very tasty. From the process of frying the tofu just now, it can already be seen that the tofu is dominant over the eggs. But the taste is the best in my opinion, especially with the simple blend of vegetables that make this dish delicious and rich.

For you egg lovers, maybe you will be tempted by the taste. Because I should give my thumbs up that this is very tasty and different from the tofu that I usually enjoy. What I like the most is the very soft texture. So, I suggest you, before frying tofu, it's better to marinate it briefly with salt so that it tastes better.
