RE: Savoring Simplicity: My Pulled Pork Burger Recipe

in Foodies Bee Hive5 months ago

Every time I prepare this dish, it's as if I'm offering a part of myself. It's not just shredded pork; it's an experience, a memory, a moment of sharing.

Yes! I was just say8ng that to some young lads who for some reason like to visit us a few times of year. They're in their late 20's and we met them on the road once. They like to learn from us I think. Bless. Anyway every time they come I like to make them food - whether it's scrambled eggs, a tagine, whatever I'm making. They are so gushingly effusive and grateful and I was explaining how much it's important to 'break bread' together - to enjoy a shared meal that's made with love, and the older I get the more I enjoy it. Pickled red cabbage from the garden, homemade bread, olives, cheese. The kind of 'assemble and pass it around' dish that brings a shared vibe to the dinner plate.

Your meal strikes me as this kind of meal.

I've never made pulled pork before (as I said in a previous post, I'm not a huge meat eater) but honestly this makes me want to rush out to my local (organic and local) pork supplier! Bookmarking for the one occasion I decide that's what I'm going to do!

Haha, so when you make pulled pork, I'd like you to take a picture for me!
