What time do you usually prepare a dish? In the morning? Before lunch or dinner? We make one dish in a day, and that'll be all for lunch and dinner. We always have bread for breakfast, we rarely have rice for breakfast like only when we have a leftover from the day before. I think most people make a different dish every meal, or am I wrong? What we had for lunch will surely be the same for dinner, if we make a lot, we will also have that the next day. Eating the same thing every meal is not bad, especially if we really love the dish we make. And so, we usually just make a dish before lunch. We rarely do it in the morning when Mommy D just feels like making it at an earlier time.

So here's another episode of sharing one of the healthy dishes we had this week. It's a "Kinamatisang Isda with Mustasa," or Lagidlid Soup with lots of tomatoes to give it a natural sourness and lots of greens, mustard greens. Making it is really easy, and with the few ingredients it has, even you can make it. As for the fish, you can use any fish you want, I think. Milkfish is good too as a replacement, and those big fishes too. I only used two big fish, four small tomatoes, garlic, onions, salt to taste, water, and some pampalasa, lol. That's it. It would be good if you used fish sauce, sad it's bad for us, huhu. But you can use it if you want to.

So first things first, we clean the Mustasa, or mustard green. I soaked it in water with salt after cleaning it thoroughly, especially its stem. I saw dirt on some of them, so cleaning them thoroughly is a must. I soaked it for like 5 minutes.

And here's the fish I used, a fresh fish would taste really good too without frying it, but I just thought it'll be less fishy if I fry it, so yeah, I fry it first before mixing it. ♪┌|∵|┘♪

You might be wondering why the water looks like that, I used rice water in it instead of regular water. This dish will taste even better with rice water. So in this pan, we'll just put together the tomatoes, onions, garlic, rice water, the fish, salt to taste, and some pampalasa.

Open the stove and let it cook, I mean, just until the tomatoes become softer. I let it boil for 7 minutes only, then I put the mustard greens next. And that's another minute of cooking to make the green leafy vegetable become softer too.

And tadaaaaa! Ah, the fish disappeared, that's because I removed the fish in there to let the veggies get cooked. The fish would get soggy if I cooked it another minute.

I just put it back once the veggies soften. And that's it. It's done. Now ready your white steamed rice and dig in! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈)

And the verdict? The oldies enjoy it, they enjoy sipping the not-so-sour soup while eating rice. And I really enjoy it too, especially the mustard greens. Its slightly has bitter taste but goes well with it. I almost eat a lot of rice because of it, but then I choose to eat more veggies than rice. Vegetable is really a good replacement for rice, no? ┏(^0^)┛

I prepare it for lunch and dinner. In the morning most of the time I only drink black coffee without eating.

By the way, I love your food, healthy, with much vegetables and fish! Is it the fish you showed in your last post?
