This Apple Bread will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth, without a doubt. It is so moist and delicious, as it melts in your mouth, you are already thinking about having another slice. This was my mother-in-law's recipe and a family favorite for years. Now, I am the only one in the family to carry on her tradition in sharing it during the holidays with friends.
Apple Bread
Chop:
3 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
Cream together:
1 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 cups of sugar
2 Tablespoons of Vanilla Extract
Add the apples and stir until coated.
Sift together:
3 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2-1 teaspoon of cinnamon
pinch of allspice
Blend everything well. Pour into 2 large, lightly oiled loaf pans or 4 small ones. I like to sprinkle a bit of sugar on top before baking.
- Note: I made a double batch as seen in the photo to share with my neighbors.
Bake at 350°F. for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the middle of the bread.
Glaze: (optional)
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of cream
Let the bread sit in the pans for 10 minutes before removing them to a cooling rack.
Can you smell the deliciousness wafting throughout the house? If not you might want to consider baking some for yourself. ;-)
After sharing the Apple Bread with all the neighbors, they called asking for the recipe, hmmm, imagine that!
This is the perfect bread to accompany your holiday festivities this year. You may want to make extras to send home with your family and friends. ♥
Until next time, this is Sunscape

Oh! How I wish I were your neighbour too!! I would also ask for the recipe! 😂
Looks so delicious 🤤
Oh my this looks amazing. I have a similar recipe for banana bread. I have never thought of making it with apples! I will definitely try this, and I might add some sourdough starter as well, as it might be interesting to add some acidity! Thanks for sharing this recipe!
I have never added a sourdough starter, I will definitely do that next time as I always have the starter on hand. Thanks for the idea. Be sure to give it a go as you would love it.
I will definitely! I have some overripe bananas, so there is the potential for banana bread as well! I also have extra sourdough, hence why I always try to work it into recipes and show it affects it. Always experimenting!
delicious apple bread, if I were your neighbor, I would definitely be able to enjoy this delicious apple bread
Yes, you would. All the neighbors enjoyed the apple bread.
I've heard of Zucchini Bread and Banana Bread, but never Apple Bread! I want to try this as soon as I get another bottle of oil! Thanks for sharing this yummy sounding recipe! 😋
You will love it, I am sure. The apples make it taste so moist and sweet.
Here is a post I did for Lemon Zucchini Bread a few months ago. This is another great-tasting version to use Zucchini in.

That's cool, sharing them all with the neighbors! No wonder they wanted the recipe!
Yeah, we tend to spoil each other in this neighborhood and share goodies with each other.
Wow, I am loving this apple bread so much that I promised myself I would try to make some.
It surely would taste so nice.
You will really enjoy it, Edith. The apples make the bread so moist and delicious. ♥
