There are very few people who don't like fried chicken and that's how KFC has evolved after a long queue of failures at the beginning but now it is one of the major food chains in the world! But too much eating of the same food is not an enjoyable incident and often the deep fried foods can do massive harm to your health. Today while I was scrolling my Facebook I have come to a simple recipe with eggs and cauliflower. As cauliflower is one of favorite vegetables, I always have it on my list. I wanted to try that as it takes a very little amount of time to prepare.
Most importantly it looks so yummy and its taste is also good with the absolute health benefit without any harmful effects on health. The outer surface of the cauliflower with the flour and eggs will protect the vitamin and all the minerals safe inside the cauliflower! I didn't think that I will share it here in Hive but the taste has forced me to share it with my dear foodies here in Hive. And as not being planned I didn't take photos at all but you can see the whole recipe from this 3-and-a-half minute video.
main ingredients
Cauliflower 300 gm
Eggs 2/3 pieces
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
Additional ingredients
Salt as taste
Chilli flex or chili powder
Ginger and Garlic paste
Garam masala or Chat masala powder
Cumin and other spices powder you love the flavor
The process in a nutshell
Cut the cauliflower into pieces and add 1 TS of salt in a bowl of water and dip the cauliflowers for 10-15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, get the cauliflowers in a bowl and break 2/3 eggs on the cauliflowers and add the salt, garlic-ginger paste, and all the spices powders and mix well with hands.
Then add 1/2 cup of flour, I suggest as less as you can for the crispy coating and mix it well and the liquid of the eggs will become a good coating on cauliflowers for frying.
Finally, fry them in a medium hot pan with oil and be careful not to deep but just fry them with an adequate amount of oil as the following figure I have done today to make them more healthy!
During frying make sure that every side is fried carefully as deep frying is not recommended.
It is recommended to turn over them multiple times and you can make them more fried as you love the taste of the cauliflower.
In my case, I love the raw flavor of the cauliflower to get all nutrition so I didn't fry too much but made sure to fry all the sides properly to get the genuine fried and smoky taste.
Within 10 minutes it will be ready to eat but you can fry more if you love cooked cauliflower.
Time to taste
Yeah now it's time to taste your favorite sauce as for me I prefer tomato ketchup with any fried things and I tried this time also.
And it was more than expected the combination and the taste were superb. If you are maintaining a good diet and are conscious about your health then this recipe is strongly recommended. But make sure that you are using a good cooking oil. In my case, I have used Extra Virgin Olive oil which is a good one as a small amount is enough with this oil! Also, the Ghee will be a good option for extending the flavor I think.
In conclusion, this egg-fried cauliflower is an amazing alternative to changing the taste with a healthy one instead of too many deep-fried foods. It is crispy and you will get the same flavor you love. And the time requirement and process are also very convenient for our busy life!
