Hello friends, today I will present you an interesting and delicious idea for a banitsa with spinach and cheese in the shape of a cake.
Здравейте приятели, днес ще ви представя една интересна и вкусна идея за баница със спанак и сирене във форма от кекс.
Products:
1 packet of banitsa crusts
300 g of cheese
6 eggs
200 ml of carbonated water
1 packet of baking powder
120 ml of oil or butter
Продукти:
1 пакет кори за баница
300 гр сирене
6 яйца
200 мл газирана вода
1 пакетче бакпувер
120 мл олио или масло
The spinach is cleaned and washed, then cut into strips and stewed in butter. When it is ready, let it cool. Beat the eggs in a bowl, add cheese, baking powder, soda water and melted butter, and then the stewed spinach. Pie crusts are cut into strips. A cake pan with a hole is greased and covered with two pie crusts, on which a hole is also made in the middle so that they can cover the form nicely. Pour the stuffing into them, then sprinkle with chopped crusts, stuffing again, peel again and so on until the quantities are exhausted.
The finished pie is baked at 180 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Then cover with a towel to relax and is ready to eat.
Спанакът се почиства и измива, след което се нарязва на ленти и се задушава в масло. Когато е готов го оставяме да изстине. Разбиваме яйцата в купа, добавяме сирене, бакпулвер, газирана вода и разтопено масло, а след това и задушения спанак. Кори за баница се режат на ленти. Форма за кекс с дупка се намаслява и се покрива с две кори за баница, на които също се прави дупка в средата , за да могат да покрият хубаво формата. В тях се изсипва от плънката, после се поръсва с наситнени кори, пак плънка, пак кори и така до изчерпване на количествата.
Готовата баница се пече на 180 градуса за 45-60 минути. После се покрива с кърпа да се отпусне и е готова за хапване.

Hi @veselusha79 this looks very delicious. Could you explain me, what is banitsa crusts? Is it this kind of daugh, used for croissants? I was thinking of german "Blätterteig" translated would be flacky pastry or fluff pastry, but not sure if this is the same? greetings :-) B.
Hi @beeber I think it's a kind of puff pasty and originated from Bulgaria and it's quite the same as "Blätterteig", a German puff pastry. 😀 And I totally agree with you that this dish look amazing. 😄 Definitely to try it for sure. @veselusha79 Thanks for sharing. 💜
Yes I think so. The Austrian "Strudel" is made out of this puff pastry. And this has its origins in the baltic-hungry-kroatien region, so it might be this kind of dough :-) but I never saw it INSIDE a meal, only around something :-)
Hello, banitsa crusts are finely rolled dough, if what you are talking about is puff pastry for croissants, I don't think it will happen.
