Hi there fellow Hive foodies! Mo here again with more Japanese goodies. Kevin, my boyfriend, and I hit up this amazing burger joint called Unmarl in Tokyo, as it's one of the closest and really one of the not many burger places that are not burger chains around town.
Unmarl serves burgers, but they are more like Japanese-style burgers. Kevin had one of the best fried chicken burgers he had ever had in his life, and that's saying something because he's a burger connoisseur.
The sauce selection at Unmarl is insane, but the two that caught our eye were the one with mayo and basil, and the one with yuzu. How cool does that sound? Plus, they have a great selection of local beers to wash it all down.
We were impressed by the friendly atmosphere and simple set-up at Unmarl. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was incredible. There was only one guy doing everything from taking orders to making the food, serving it, and even cleaning up. Talk about Japanese style efficiency and hard work!
I opted for a white bun burger, which had a firmer texture. And let me tell you, the attention to detail at Unmarl is on another level. They have a bun stamped with their little chicken logo on all buns, and it just looks so darn cute. Plus, I saw a guy deliver fresh buns while we were waiting, so you know they are always fresh and ready for you.
Now, I'm a regular beef burger kind of person, but trying something local and prepared with love and care like they do at Unmarl was totally worth it. And get this, we had this incredible experience in Tokyo, and it was just before we were leaving the country later that day. So this is going to be the last foodie post from Japan. I'm going to miss the country but glad to be back living life and work it all away again!

This burger looks delicious! Unmarl's ambience looks neat and cool so I'm not surprised their meals are tasty. And only man doing all the work? That's inspiring.
Last foodies post from Japan! I know we'll see more tantalising foodies post from your next destination. 😊🤗
Ayyy thank you! More of Chiang Mai Thailand mostly.
