Hello dear friends lovers of culinary delights, once again here to bring you a new video tutorial, this time I show you how to prepare chicken chop suey. A few days ago I was given a cup of peas and I didn't know how to use it because it was only a little bit, until this recipe came to my mind, because I had some chopped vegetables that I could also use. The best thing is that it is made with a little bit of everything, it is not necessary to have the ingredients in quantities and that mixture of flavors is what makes it wonderful, plus it is a well balanced dish nutritionally. So if you want to have a delicious and nutritious dinner, say no more, here you have to prepare it.
Below, I show you the ingredients I used and the step by step preparation, in the video I show you all the details of this. You can always make changes to the recipe and adapt it to the ingredients you have on hand, that's what I like most about cooking, that we can modify the recipe at our whim. Hola queridos amigos amantes de las delicias culinarias, una vez más por aquí para traerte un nuevo video tutorial, esta vez te enseño como preparar Chop suey de pollo. Hace días me regalaron una taza de guisantes y no sabía en que utilizarlo porque era solo un poquito, hasta que me vino a la mente esta receta, pues tenía guardado unos vegetales picados que también podía aprovechar. Lo mejor es que se elabora con un poquito de todo, no es necesario tener los ingredientes en cantidades y esa mezcla de sabores es lo que la hace maravillosa, además de que es un plato bien equilibrado nutricionalmente. Así que si quieres tener una cena deliciosa y nutritiva, no se diga más, aquí tienes que preparar.
A continuación, te muestro los ingredientes que utilicé y el paso a paso de la preparación, en el video te muestro todos los detalles de esta. Siempre puedes hacerle cambios a la receta y adapatarla a los ingredientes que tengas a mano, eso es lo que más me gusta de la cocina, que podemos modificar la receta a nuestro antojo. Ingredients // Ingredientes

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch / 1 cucharada de maicena
  • 3 boneless chicken thighs / 3 muslos de pollo deshuesados
  • 1/4 cup chinese sauce / 1/4 taza de salsa china
  • 1 tablespoon apple juice / 1 cucharada de jugo de manzana
  • olive oil / aceite de oliva
  • chopped vegetables (carrots, corn, green beans) / vegetales picados (zanahoria,maíz,habichuelas)
  • peas / guisantes
  • garlic leek / ajo puerro
  • garlic / ajo
  • onion / cebolla

We start by chopping the chicken into thin strips, ideally using breast, but if you don't have it, as was my case, you can use thighs, you just have to debone it.

Comenzamos picando el pollo en tiras finas, lo ideal es utilizar pechuga pero si no tienes, como fue mi caso, puedes utilizar muslos, solo debes deshuesarlo.

As seasoning we will use garlic and onion, to do this chop several cloves of garlic very small and the onion in rings.

Como condimento utilizaremos ajo y cebolla, para ello picar varios dientes de ajo bien pequeños y la cebolla en aros.

We will leave this preparation ready to use it later, it consists of a spoonful of cornstarch dissolved in 1/4 cup of water, its function will be to thicken the sauce.

Esta preparación la dejaremos lista para utilizarla más adelante, consta de una cucharada de maicena disuelta en 1/4 de taza de agua, su función será espesar la salsa.

Add two tablespoons of oil to a large pan or frying pan and then add the chicken strips, stirring them so that they do not stick together and let them cook until they are completely done and golden brown.

Añadimos en una olla o sartén grande dos cucharadas de aceite y luego incorporamos las tiras de pollo, se van revolviendo para que no se peguen y dejamos cocinar hasta que estén totalmente hechos y dorados.

We continue with the spices, garlic and onion chopped previously, we fry them in two tablespoons of oil. When the onions are wilted, add the chopped vegetables and the peas. Mix all the ingredients and let them cook for about 5 minutes so that the vegetables cook. Then we proceed to add the chicken.

Continuamos con las especias, el ajo y la cebolla picados anteriormente, la sofreímos en dos cucharadas de aceite. Cuando estén marchitas las cebollas, se incorporan los vegetales picados y los guisantes. Se mezclan todos los ingredientes y se dejan cocinar unos 5 minutos para que los vegetales se cocinen. Luego procedemos a añadir el pollo.

Add to the preparation a tablespoon of apple juice and 1/4 cup of Chinese sauce. Mix everything to integrate the flavors in the chicken and vegetables. Then add the water with the cornstarch to thicken and a pinch of salt, taste if necessary because the Chinese sauce tends to be salty. Let it cook for about 5 more minutes until it thickens.

Añadimos a la preparación una cucharada de jugo de manzana y 1/4 de taza de salsa china. Mezclar todo para que se integren los sabores en el pollo y los vegetales. Luego agregar el agua con la maicena para espesar y una pizca de sal, probar si es necesario pues la salsa china tiende a ser salada. Dejar cocinar unos 5 minutos más hasta que espese.

The leek garlic is finely chopped, this we will use it as decoration, anyway it comes very well to this recipe.

El ajo puerro se pica bien fino, esto lo utilizaremos como decoración, de todos modos le viene muy bien a esta receta.

Finally, we sprinkle the chopped leek garlic on top of our already prepared dish. And today's dish is ready, a delicious and nutritious chicken chop suey, undoubtedly very appetizing to the eye by the variety of colors. It can be served with white rice, noodles or whatever you like, it is your choice.
