Sunday Recipe: Shrimp in Sour Soup with Vegetables.

Hello lovely hivers and hello foodies bee hive community. I hope you are having a good day today ☺️.

It's Sunday today and my father is here in the house. Every Sunday he's the one who is in charge on buying, preparing and cooking of our food as he want to cook for us. Today he bought some shrimp and cook it as a shrimp stew with tamarind soup and vegetables.

My father knew that I am doing a recipe blog here in Hive because I shared it to him and I am happy that he supports me with this as he knew that I am happy with what I'm doing.



I am the one who prepared for the shrimp and vegetables and he's the one who cook it.



These are the ingredients needed for this recipe.

Shrimp
Tamarind powder or fruit
Kangkong
Eggplant
Tomatoes
Onion
Green chili
Okra/Lady Finger

I asked him that I will captured some photos while he was cooking because I will going to make a blog.



Procedure

On a casserole, he cut the onion and tomatoes directly and add some water and salt.

Once the water boils you can now add the green chili , okra , shrimp and let it simmer for a minute.

Add the eggplant and tamarind powder. It's up to you if you want sour one or a not. As for me I told my father that I want a sour one.

Add the kangkong and let it simmer again for a minute then turn off the heat.

While I am doing the plating he told me to add some lemon as a design but I told him it's not related to the recipe and I want to show the recipe itself because it's enough. Maybe next time I will add some lemon on my recipe 🤭

This recipe is also taste better if you will use Kamias but it's not available here that's why my father add some tamarind powder only. My husband really love the soup as the sweetness of the fresh shrimp is there. The kids also love the soup and told my father that they love it.

Wow, such a healthy dish. Sour soup is a common recipe in my area as well. People really love the flavor of this soup especially with seafood adding in there.

Same here. We also use different fruit for the flavor like green mango , tamarind, kamias and calamansi
