Photoshoot: Facing my fears, one shot at a time. First time firing a gun! 🔥🖤

Hello everyone! I'm back Hivers, it's been a while since I've been doing a blog because of a lot of things happened, and need to prioritize first. Anyways How's it going? I hope you're all doing well. Let me share with you what happened during my firing shoot.

Ever since I was a kid, I've loved joining photoshoots, because many people told me that I had a talent for it, but I was not so sure. I often felt insecure about myself and ignored their comments cause this wasn't the right time. As I grew older, I discovered my true passion—being a model and enjoying photography.

Recently, I was grateful to be chosen as a model for a firing shoot by one of the best photographers in Cebu, "The Lex Creativez." It is not about the money I earn because it's my sideline but to incredibly experience this challenging shoot. Sir Lex was very humble and kind. The shoot took place at Wonderland in Agus, Lapu'Lapu, Cebu.

I am not coming here alone. My supportive sister is joining me to help and take care of me. I also asked a favor of my photographer to let my sister try to hold, learn, and use the pistol gun.

I love the environment and place because of the green trees, the view, and the ambiance. You can do firing shots very well.

At first, I was scared of touching a gun or even hearing the sound of it. But, I always put on my mind to face my fears. When the firing shoot started, I learned how to use the pistol gun properly because Sir Lex taught me and explained the safety rules while using it. He's an expert on this because he is a pulis officer. I felt more confident and safe because of his expertise.

We started the shoot using a pistol gun, and I fired 20 bullets. I was happy that I almost hit the target on my first timer. They are very risky, but facing this challenge was incredibly rewarding.

After the firing session, we moved on to the photo shoot. As a model, I wanted to give my best to impress the photographer and make the most of our time together.

I was nervous. I didn't think the result would meet the photographer's standards, especially since I was exhausted from work and straight to go to shooting. However, despite my thinking, The photographer says to me, "Very nice," "You're amazing," "Beautiful," and many more. These words boosted my confidence and motivated me to give my best during the shoot. It was a strange experience to be in different clothes, to try different expressions, and to find the right angles. Every click on the camera brought me closer to my dream.

It wasn't easy to join this kind of passion as a freelance model, which more people don't realize. It's not just about one take or one shoot; it's about striking many poses and taking numerous shots to get the perfect picture. It takes precision and patience to do every pose and sometimes more effort to capture the perfect moment. It can be physically and mentally exhausting, but the results have always been worth it.

To all the girls out there, always remember, don't let anyone get you down. Don't feel insecure because we all have unique beauty and skills. If some people don't appreciate it, know that many people will. I started this journey as a freelance model, and have taught me valuable lessons about self-acceptance, perseverance, and the power of stepping out of my comfort zone. If others can do things that you can't, remember there are things you can do that others can't.

Looking back at my photo shoot experiences, I can see how far I've come. It has been a journey of discovery and growth, transforming from a shy, insecure girl into a confident young woman. Every photo shoot is a new adventure, a fresh opportunity to express myself. I'm looking to the future and all the upcoming shoots and projects. Each experience, challenge, and compliment drives me to keep pushing forward, dreaming, and believing in myself. It was just the beginning, and I can't wait to see where my passion for modeling and photography will take me next.
