I have seen a few actors come from different entertainment industries and join the movie industry. They were passionate about it and decided to make it their new career path.
Especially in the Nollywood industry, I have seen a lot of musicians end up in the movie industry acting in some scenes and they delivered well. So it seems there is some kind of bond between them. Musicians also go into acting when they need to shoot their music videos.
Hidden Strike
That's not my area of concentration, but just an intro to what I am about to discuss. The movie titled Hidden Strike is a movie I found interesting and I so much appreciated it for different reasons.
Though it's not my type of movie genre, I did enjoy watching it. I appreciate watching biographical movies, which are movies based on true-life stories. And if I am not watching that, I will choose to watch comedy instead.
In my search for comedy-related movies I came across the movie title, it wasn’t the title that caught my attention but the display image. First off I saw Jackie Chan, ooh. The old and legendary Jackie Chan got another release. Then behind him was the famous wrestler John Cena.
That was enough of a trigger for me to watch the movie. Immediately I checked out the trailer, after watching it no one told me to download it before I downloaded it.
The Plot
The movie was released in July 2023 and was about ex-force soldiers who were on duty to escort a group of civilians along the highway of death. This is a top-secret mission that was given to Feng and his subordinates. He faced a lot of challenges due to the fact that he had to rescue the civilians who were trapped by illegal oil miners.
Along the highway of death he encountered Chris who was a former marine corp, Chris and his brother were on a revengeful mission of crossing the convey which happened to have attacked them years ago. Upon attacking they created a sandstorm to distract and this was how Feng got some of his men and a professor whom he was to take to the green zone kidnapped.
Chris and Feng later joined hands together to rescue the civilians. It was a die-hard mission for them.
On the other end, Feng as a father was facing a hard time trying to convince his daughter not to resent him as a father because he has been giving his best for the nation and his family.
His daughter never believed him for once, she believed he was a careless man who abandoned his wife at death and never cared about them. Losing her mother was something so painful to her that she would never forgive her father for it.
The mission became an opportunity for Feng to prove his love and care for his daughter and the nation at the same time.
Casts
Jackie Chan as Feng
Feng played a good role in the movie, and was also one of the lead cast. I never believed the old Jackie Chan to have performed amazingly well. Though he still pulled some stunts there in the movie and also maintained his funny tricks as usual.
John Cena as Chris
Not much disappointed with the acting of a wrestler. He amazingly played his role. Though he wasn't the lead cast, his role should be next in line. The comedy worked well with John Cena. Though if it had some other actors it might have been more fun. But still not bad seeing the old John Cena in action again.
Review and Rating
Watching it was fun and worth my time. It's not in episodes so it really brought a good ending to it without any suspense involved. If I am to rate the movie on a scale of 10 then I will be giving it an 8/10 rating.
If you are interested in watching an action, adventure, and comedy movie then I recommend Hidden Strike for you. Have a nice time watching.

Have also seen it and would rate it 7.5 out 10. Totally worth a watch and shows that all movies dont have to come from Hollywood to be enjoyable
Yeah. Sincerely. It was really worth watching. Thanks for stopping by
It's been a while since I saw any film featuring John Cena, let alone Jackie Chan. And even though this is not the kind of film I would watch, it would be nice to see Chan in action again...
Nicely done.✨
Hehe. Wrong recommendation 😂. I don’t even know what my Oriental love to watch. Let me just keep quiet and move on.
From your review I noticed that this movie is full of actions. I will add it to my watch list. Thank you @abdul-qudus for posting this
