Speaking of movies that leave a mark on us when we see them, but that, nevertheless, the level of popularity has not been as expected among the remaining public (at least in my country). Recently, they released the movie The Forge, which was a sort of sequel to the movie “War Room”; both are Christian movies inspired by faith, spirituality and belief in God and his word; I had already seen the first one and I had already heard about The Forge and just with the introduction they gave, I was waiting to see it.
As soon as I had the opportunity and could see it, I did it at once and I did not regret it. What I could objectively see was a family theme that many of us sometimes face with our children, who do not want to take responsibility and the values that we want to transmit to them are sometimes not well received by them. This is what, in general terms, the central plot of the film is about. The opening scenes begin with a single mother and her teenage son, who doesn't want to do anything for his life, just play basketball and video games; the mother, wanting him to change, tries to explain to him that if he continues like this he will end up with no future and will surely get into trouble.

This tormented mother turns to her faith and to God, asking for clarity and guidance in order to guide her son to a better way of life; For this she also relies on her prayer group, which is a group of women of faith like her, and when they almost gave up everything for lost, several changes happen in the family life of this mother and son, which confront the son with his reality and he realizes that he was giving importance to things that really do not have it, All this is given by the guidance of his new boss, who being a man of God knew how to guide this young man, teaching him commitment, respect, consideration, empathy, loyalty and love for his fellow men, all this is learned by the young protagonist through various consequences he got from his actions and that gave him a positive turn to his life.
Now I wondered why it was called The Forge and then, I understood it and it is that this boy's boss belonged to a group of men also of faith, who shared their love for God and his word, supporting each other and to belong to the group they did a ritual where they were given a beautiful finely forged sword, implying that to obtain beauty they have to transform the materials to give an excellent finish and result. In my case, I loved the whole movie, especially the scene where the boy forgives his father, because I felt identified, it was very emotional. To see how this boy successfully matured and became a good man, and to see the tears of emotion of his mother, to see that her prayers were answered, was not wasted.
