The story

The events take place in the future, specifically the year 2035, when technology has developed and created highly capable robots that help humans in all possible activities.

In this environment lives Chicago police officer Dale Spooner, who hates robots, and is assigned to investigate the murder of a robot development expert.

When he discovers evidence indicating the involvement of a robot named Sonny in the crime, It turns into real fear Because robots breaking the agreement of mutual respect with humans means that they can control the world very easily.

Dale begins investigating the matter and protecting the fate of humans, with the help of psychiatrist Susan Calvin, who specializes in studying the psychology of robots.

Flaws in the movie

The film follows a traditional sci-fi film pattern where there is one hero who fights evil and achieves victory. This style can make the movie a bit familiar and predictable as in the movie, so much emphasis is placed on the development of artificial intelligence and the evolution of robots that it seems like an attack against humans could occur. This aspect may have exaggerated and unrealistic expectations.

The film contains some classic elements of science fiction films, such as conspiracies, chases, and confrontations between humans and robots. This could be a repetition of ideas and scenes we have seen in other films. Although there is a good performance from Will Smith in the lead role, the other characters in the film did not receive enough development, making the personal relationships and interactions lack depth.

Despite these flaws, "I, Robot" remains a sci-fi film that provides good entertainment and enjoyable scenes for fans of the genre. Your appreciation of a film depends largely on your personal expectations and interests.
