in Educationlast year (edited)

We get angry because it is a natural reaction to feeling frustrated, helpless, threatened, or disrespected. It is a way of expressing negative feelings, and it can often be a result of trying to exert control in a situation.

Some people can deal with anger easily and some really have a hard time.

Let’s have a look at some tips for teenagers to practice anger management

  1. Take a few deep breaths: When you feel your anger rising, take a few deep breaths to help you relax and centre yourself.
  2. Walk away: If you can, take yourself out of the situation for a few minutes to give yourself some time to cool down.
  3. Talk it out: Talk to someone you trust about what is causing your anger and how you can manage it better.
  4. Exercise: Exercise can help release anger and tension and can be a great way to manage your emotions.
  5. Journal: Writing down your thoughts and emotions can be a great way to express and process your anger in a healthy way.
  6. Listen to music: Music can help you relax and shift your focus away from your anger.
  7. Practice relaxation techniques: Relaxation techniques such as yoga, meditation, or guided imagery can help you calm down and manage your anger.
  8. Develop healthy outlets: Find healthy outlets for your anger, such as painting, playing an instrument, or playing sports.

Reasons why anger management is good for you:

  1. It Helps You Regulate Your Emotions: Anger management teaches you how to identify and manage your feelings, giving you the power to respond rather than react to situations. This can help you develop healthier relationships with yourself and others.
  2. It Reduces Stress: Anger can contribute to physical and emotional stress and managing your emotions can help reduce your stress levels.
  3. It Improves Your Physical Health: Uncontrolled anger can lead to high blood pressure, heart problems, and digestive issues. Learning how to manage your anger can help you avoid these health problems.
  4. It Improves Your Mental Health: Uncontrolled anger can lead to depression and anxiety and can worsen existing mental health issues. Learning how to manage your anger can help you improve your mental well-being.
  5. It Improves Your Relationships: Learning how to manage your anger can help you develop better relationships with your family and friends. You’ll be better able to express yourself and handle conflicts in healthier ways.

Currently this is true for me. But I am not really angry. I am rather worried and sad. And even a little bit scared/frightened about the future. Other poor people probably know this feeling. Bleakness. Despair. Desperation. The danger of becoming homeless (again). I was homeless multiple times, so I know what it is like from personal experience.
