In celebration of the commemoration of the National day of UAE (United Arab Emirates) which is celebrated every 2nd of December. The Union of the 7 Emirates which is Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ra's al-Khaimah, Ajman, Umm al-Quwain and Fujairah. It was founded in 1971 and is now celebrating its 50th anniversary.
There are various activities that will take place such as parades and parades of cars including expensive cars. There are fireworks at night and LED displays on some of the buildings. And to celebrate its golden jubilee public passes are free of charge.
The school that I was working at celebrated early. Children were expected to dress in colorful colors that signifies the flag of UAE.

It consists of white for peace. Black for courage, power and solidarity, Red for bravery and strength. Green for Hope, optimism and love.
Children brought presents and sweets to share. Each of them has a goody bag to take home.
A program was held and singing of the UAE National song.

This post makes me sad, but not in a bad way. We lived in the UAE for six years until the end of 2017. I miss these celebrations a lot. Will go back in a heartbeat!
