If I’ve ever taken part in Hive Power Up Day, it was purely by chance. I usually power up whenever I notice some liquid tokens sitting in my “inbox,” so I rarely have any, let alone enough, available right when #HivePUD comes around.
Today I have seen the most recent posts by @ph1102
https://ecency.com/hive-122221/@ph1102/what-happened-in-may-june
and @ynwa.andree
https://ecency.com/hive-121566/@ynwa.andree/10-000-hivepower-juni-2025
... which both reminded me of buying some HIVE. Again, not in line with the PUD, but I powered up 279.954 HIVE anyway 💪
I just hit 4,555 HP
in my main Hive account! 🎉 But actually... I’ve got more HIVE floating around in the ecosystem 🥸
I told @ynwa.andree in his post that I didn’t have 10k in HP - but that’s not quite true. I kind of lost track of my total holdings because my stake is spread across several accounts. There are a few reasons for this split:
Account | HIVE / HP | Reason |
@tibfox | 4'555.005 | Main Account |
@diyhub | 3'958 | We need more stake in @diyhub to be able to pay the 80% curation rewards to our delegators. You can read more on that here |
@tibfox.vsc | 2'649.628 | To run a consensus node, I need at least 2,000 HIVE staked in my VSC node account on the @vsc.network chain. The more you stake as a consensus node operator, the higher your future rewards will be. That’s why it makes sense to start preparing the account early in this phase. |
I manage an account for the son of some friends - just a small one with a few tokens in it for now. One day, far down the road, he’ll be able to use Hive and already have a bit of a head start with some HP. Until then, his account simply mirrors my votes 😄
Altogether, I now have a grand total of 11,162.633 HP
🥳 and there's more coming! I've been posting more frequently lately, so the author rewards are starting to roll into my main account regularly. I've got plenty of ideas for future posts, but you know how it goes… writing, formatting, and publishing all take time.
I'm really happy there's a new @ecency editor - it’s a lot more streamlined and makes quick posts much easier. I'm using it right now and enjoying the in-context formatting tools, the table options, and so on. The restrictions are a bit much at times, but overall, it's a great help when you're looking to publish something quickly!
DIYHub stake
We're steadily building up the HP for the @diyhub account. At some point in the distant future, I hope to be able to withdraw my personal stake from the community account. But since community accounts typically don’t receive a lot of high-value votes, it’s going to take a while. I’m okay with keeping my stake there for now- I also hold the active keys - but of course, it would be much better to have those funds back in my own wallet.
By the way, if you’d like to support the DIY scene on Hive and earn 80% of the curation rewards, feel free to delegate to @diyhub!
Do you have other accounts you have HP, and why? I am not talking about your secret alt-accounts obviously (I know many of you have some ;) )
Keep going, Champ!
Thank youuuu!
Always happy when I see that some of my posts inspired others to do good things... 😍
I had/have many accounts, where I had HP and other token stakes in the past, but not anymore... I do keep my HBD staking on another wallet, but only for security reasons...
With @liotes, we do try to have a "clean sheet" (like your idea of taking your personal stake out), as it gives a better picture of the project's healthiness... 😃
Great to see you posting more lately! Always a pleasure to check out your super-cool posts!
Well done!
Hive a great day!
P.S.: Do you know where I can learn more about the vsc node? [EDIT: don't mind about. I found it: https://peakd.com/hive/@vsc.network/vsc-node-operators-soft-launch-early-access-application]
