It didn't occur to me until I was almost done putting this month's Power Up Day post together, that it's been almost exactly two years now since I started managing this initiative. It was On May 27th, 2020 that @streetstyle, who was the originator of Hive Power Up Day (though it began with a different name on our legacy chain back in April of 2019), quietly dropped a 1K Hive Power delegation in my wallet, then disappeared from the blockchain. Yes, I know his profile shows he was active on January 17th of this year, but that was the day that 3Speak had a hiccup & published some old videos. I'm still holding out hope that he'll cruise on by Hive some day soon, and I can't wait to see his reaction to how much his amazing idea has taken off in the past twenty four months.

Now to the business at hand - while technically in my little corner of the world there's still around 2 hours left of May (I'm posting this a bit after 10:00pm EST), #HivePUD for June 1st 2022 has already arrived in other parts of the world. • If you want to qualify for the AMAZING Hive Power Up Day badge(s), your power up must happen during the 24 hours of June 1st 2022 according to UTC time.

What is HivePUD?

Hive Power Up Day happens on the first of every month. Those who are able to, take this time to power up some Hive, and/or cancel their power downs and pause trading/selling for the 24 hour span of the day.

What are the rules to win prizes for HivePUD?

The requirements are:

• Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70.
• Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000.
• You must power up at least 10 Hive on June 1st.
• You must write a post about your power up on June 1st with the tag #HivePUD (International) or #HPUD (Hispanic) as one of your first 5 tags (tagging only in the body of the post doesn't count)..

 
To be included in the winners list, you must meet all four requirements above. The order of the list (first place, second place, and so on) will be determined by the biggest PERCENTAGE of Hive powered up, not necessarily the most Hive powered up.

 

How to get HiveBuzz badges

For details, check their post Hive Power Up Day - June 1st 2022 as well as their Power Up Day Helper Badge post but essentially -

• Power up a minimum of 10 HIVE during the UTC time for the first of the month. Convert your local time to UTC or check the countdown timer on the Hive Buzz site (under the "Challenges" tab) to confirm it's during the first UTC time before you power up.
