Do you know how big the caliber is? .308, that's not a puny SAW.

The initial rounds are fed from the backpack, yet the entire time he has a loaded 250 round magazine attached. In the Marines the M240 would be the equivalent though about 6 pounds heavier than the PKM yet it is never employed as anything like that, even for a brief moment. Its always fired from tripod and/or prone, the only equivalent would be the 249, but that also is never trained as using a forward grip. There's a collapsible stock variant that is used with a forward grip, yet that's not employed anywhere like the pkm to deliver accurate fire from the shoulder, its utilized as suppressive spray and pray and hip firing.
