RE: Perceiving protests as criminal

I also made a post about this woman's event being posted on Facebook. I didn't get the response that it was fake.
When I first saw it I couldn't believe how calm the husband was when he found out she was being arrested for making an event post.
It's truly shocking that this happened to her in front of her children.

Possible the husband was calm simply because he was well subdued by the fear of what would happen if he made a debacle out of it, that and the fact that it was in a family home. I don't believe it was fake, it is becoming more and more common practice to video tape any interactions with police as people become more aware of their rights to do so.

I do consider however that a motivation for having it spread virally is to induce fear in those who would wish to also advertise a rally against Covid-19 lockdown measures.

On one side it assists the cause of waking people up to the state of what is happening to our rights underneath our noses; and on the other side it locks other people into a fear induced coma, mindlessly following their government orders (believing its for the greater good) and not speaking up (exercising their right to free speech).

We have grown so comfortable here in Australia with our freedoms, it is hard for the average person to consider that they can be taken away in a single moment.

Damn you live in Australia... what a crapshoot the government is there. Not to worry, the same shit is coming my way... yay....!
