I jammed pretty hard on this game, getting it polished up before the deadline.

First you have to get your game approved by submitting it.

a human in the farcade team manually approves it. if your game isnt good enough, they write feedback to you.

I have been in the discord for a little bit, since farcon when i started making the game.

I met the people making the farcade at farcon.

I expressed to them how excited i was about the farcade, and its existance within a crypto social platform, and how good that is. its very smart and i wish we could make something this cool on hive. maybe we can. i am following warpcast because they have amazing marketing and hive needs that so i am trying to learn from what they do.

so the day after the nouns game jam, they announced a new game jam:

with the theme: Infinite Runner

that is what my game was for the nouns jam.

they said i could just flip the new toggle on the website that makes your game remixable and that would enter my game into the game jam. i dont know if i want to do that. i think i want to try to make a new one in the next four days.

i think thats kinda stupid how you can just take an old game and make it remixable and then it gets entered into the game jam. game jams are about starting from scratch and seeing what you can do in a time window.

im 2 votes from placing in 10th place in the jam, which earns me $25.

that 25 can then fund my Cursor Subscription for another month lol

which will allow me to vibe code more games. haha.

some people have more votes than others. maybe they are members of the nouns.gg dao or something i dont know.

its too bad that i have to grovel for votes after making clearly the most nounish game on there by far.

its all good though. i enjoy the process of making games.

the point is, the farcade is a venue to showcase your games to an niche audience.

right now my game is at 51 plays and it needs to get to 1000 plays to "graduate" which unlocks achievements.

im really unimpressed with the nouns.gg website and its very buggy and not user friendly.

it sucks im in 3rd place of my own game haha
but its cool @knowhow92 is second place. thats fucking awesome. i just wish other people like @xvlad and @gnarip12345 and @willdias and other skatehive people who have warpcast would RUN IT UP but its all good.

overall though, im proud of what i made so thats all that matters, even if i dont place in the game jam.

they played my game in the discord in front of 40 people so that was kinda cool.

its cool to collab with other game makers

but i know the game dev industry is super competitive too.

the problem is, people see me as a threat because im TOO creative.
ive observed this for a while now, even back in art school.

the professors saw me as a threat in times where they should have just embraced me.

i think i am totally raising the bar of what is COOL in the farcade though.

I am inspiring people to make cool shit, and at the end of the day thats all that matters. thats my spiritual purpose and im fine with that.
