Today is a beautiful Sunday. So I decided to take another trip into the woods. I am fortunate to live in an area with a lot of forests around. So going to the forest is the easiest trip to do. This time I chose to follow a trail into the farm of a friend of mine who runs a "forest bathing" tour. Honestly, I didn't have a clear plan and I didn't know where I was going. I just wanted to go to the forest to enjoy the fresh air and feel the beauty of nature. But I finally came across a little house in the woods that I wanted to write about today.
It was a small house nestled in the middle of a large forest. It is located next to a stream. It is difficult to see from a distance because it is hidden behind large trees. I happened to see it while I was walking along the stream.
As I approached, I saw a small dirt road leading to the house.
At first the aggressive dogs wouldn't let me in, but then their owner showed up and led me in.
Fortunately, the owner of that house is a calm man, he allowed me to visit his house. We had an interesting conversation and he told me that he built and lived in this house over 10 years ago. The reason he decided to move here was because he simply liked the quiet and he wanted to live in harmony with nature and trees.
To avoid wild animals, he built himself a house on stilts according to the traditional architecture of stilt houses of local ethnic minorities.
He also dug a pond and drew water from a nearby stream to raise fish. I think it's great to sit in that little stilt house and fish in free time.
His main income is from growing coffee. He has a pretty large coffee farm. And he grows his coffee organically and his coffee is cold Arabica coffee (coffee is grown at an altitude of 1200m), so it's quite expensive. He said that he was quite busy with work on the coffee farm but he felt very happy.
In addition, he also makes use of the fertile land and abundant rainfall to grow bananas and cassava, which is also his second income.
I took a walk around his house and I must say I also enjoyed the beauty and the nature around. From his house there was only a lush green of trees and the surrounding forest. Different from the bustling life in the cities, when I was there I heard nothing but the sound of running water, wind, birdsong and insects around. It was such a refreshing and peaceful feeling. Now I understand why that man chose that place to live.
Do you think you would like to live there? I think that is a question that is not easy to answer for many people. Although it is a beautiful and peaceful place, it is located very far from the center of town and the road to get there is difficult. I think there will not be many people who can give up a comfortable life to live in such a remote and deprived place. Of course I respect everyone's decision, and everyone has their own choice as long as you feel happy and comfortable. I just want to show you that, in addition to the comfortable life in big cities, we still have the option for a peaceful and close-to-nature life in the countryside.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and wish you a great Sunday!

Its Really Sunday
Thank you
I wouldn't mind going there for a retreat every month or so. The energy is just beautiful. I think quite places are the best places to live in. Too much simulations put us off balance mentally, emotionally and physically.
For sure it would be great if we have a place like that to retreat every week or every month. I love quiet places like that too. Thank you very much for your visit and wish you a nice day. @youngkedar98

Wow, what an interesting story! I totally understand that man´s reasons and motivation to choose this lifestyle and while I can definitely imagine myself trying this out too and enjoying for some time, I don´t know if you I could spend the rest of my life like this :) But yeah, being embraced by nothing but nature must be so beneficial to your body and mind. Love this post, thanks for sharing it with us my friend!
