Dear Hivers! If you are someone who takes the time and makes the effort to write original posts then this post is not for you. I'd just like to say thank you for making the effort to make Hive a better place, that has original work instead of copied articles from the internet... have a lovely day!

If on the other hand you are someone who posts with some or all of the text and images taken from other websites then please be warned, we are taking a zero tolerance and fairly harsh stance from now on to this kind of behaviour. That means that several things will happen to anyone posting to the ecoTrain community with content that is copied, (we have several people checking including of course @hiverwatchers, @spaminator etc...thank you for your help here).
1. Your post and any comments will be 100% downvoted.
2. You will be permanently muted from the community
3. All previous posts and comments within the 7 day period will also be downvoted.
4. You will be reported and added to the blacklists so any future posts are downvoted.

WHY THE HARSH APPROACH?

The simple fact is that I did not join Hive to spend half my time policing people posts. I value my time greatly and the last thing i wish to do with it is spend hours and hours having to search and determine whether your post is copied in part or in whole by you. This is a great disrespect to Hive, and the people who take the time and make the effort to post.. as well of course to us who curate. It's no fun and I will now personally do whatever i can to discourage it.

Please tell your friends and share this post, because one bad post can basically end your Hive abundance very quickly indeed, and i know many of will be quite upset when that happens. Therefore, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Thank you and Hive On!

Exactly my thoughts @ecotrain I have an idea of such things happening in the community. So when I go through such a post. I avoid my comment and move on. That's a timely warning to copy cats.

Thank you @ecotrain for bringing this notice to us all. I hope this brings the consciousness of having to put more effort on post by authors. I hope plagiarism will definitely be an history after this moment.

I am very happy with the firm policy that @ecotrain conveys.
A community will grow and develop because of the good attitude of community members, the authenticity of the work of its members and their mutual respect for one another.
Plagiarizing other people's work is disrespectful and I might accidentally do it someday. But I don't expect that to happen to me or anyone else in this #Hive community.

If that happens, I am very prepared for all the consequences of this excellent policy.

I believe this will be a warning and caution to people doing so because it is definitely not appropriate at all.

It is good to establish clear criteria, to maintain the quality of the published contents, who is used to plagiarism will have to think very well before doing it again.

See you later, have a great week.

Hive Power Up Month - Feedback from February day 25

Totally agree with you, one makes an effort to create something of one's own and original.
So one expects the same from the other participants.
Totally agree with your stance.

One of the main reasons I like Hive is that the blockchain indelibly records my original work. Anyone taking credit for someone else's work has that crime recorded for posterity.

Plagiarism should not exist and whoever does it should be banned, but I think there should be a mechanism that rewards and recognizes those who make efforts of creativity and originality, because sometimes the photograph is recognized more than the content, there are excellent posts without recognition and other mediocre ones recognized by an automatic solidarity without considering the intellectual effort and quality.
