Effects And Solutions To Global Overpopulation || EcoTrain QOTW 10.4

There is a limit to the level we can put the Earth's resources to use and I fear we are reaching that limit gradually, no thanks to overpopulation.

Overpopulation is one of the current global issues we are facing. Presently, we have an estimated population of over seven billion people in the world! And I am sure this number will keep increasing yearly and hopefully we don't explode. Overpopulation is a serious issue because of the negative effects on the planet and our ecosystem.

Overpopulation means that our natural resources will be gravely depleted over the course of the next few decades because the planet may not be able to cater our growing number. Also, the environment is already experiencing degradation with the spikes in gas emissions and pollution despite the efforts of climate change advocates.

If our environment continues to degrade without lasting solutions to prevent this, it will lead to global inflation which we are already experiencing. Inflation means high cost of living, starvation, rise in unemployment, drought, malnutrition etc. More so, the developing countries will feel the effect of this more than the developed countries.

The carrying capacity of the earth is limited and the duty is upon us as inhabitants to work on preserving it for upcoming generations. The following ways can be employed to combat overpopulation.

Renewable Energy and Recycling:

I cannot overemphasize the importance of recycling and renewable energies in resolving our overpopulation issues. This will not only work to effectively combat climate change but also preserve the earth's resources.

This includes using solar, biomass and geothermal energies. No more burning of fossil fuels. Also, we can go for clean low carbon and emission-free energy and reuse of biodegradable waste. This is part of recycling and it means less waste of natural resources.

Planned Parenthood:

The more women who birth children and in large numbers, the more our population increases. In some rural areas in developing countries, most people are not knowledgeable enough on planned parenthood while some cannot afford it.

If the information of planned parenthood is made available in every corner of the world, both in developed and developing nations, male and female, people will know the importance of planned births and thus reduce population. Every man and woman, especially our youth, will know they have the option of not having children or planning them.

End Early Marriage:

This still bores down to educating the young ones and stamping out some aged traditions that enforce early marriages in some parts of the world. People should be made to understand that delayed childbirth until they are financially able is okay with the aid of planned parenthood.

These are some solutions that have already been employed all over the world but the more people do these, the wider the effect will be on our population and environment.

Let's preserve Earth for our generations yet unborn.

I do agree with you that if our population keeps increasing, in the next few decades there will inflation which is already happening as we speak.

The ways which we can use to bring down the rate of overpopulation you have mentioned are effective methods especially the second which is education on planned parenthood. If this education is circulated all the world, all our young ones coming up will know how to planned their parenthood and avoid unnecessary mistakes in life.

Nicely written! Your post was interesting to read and well explained. Thank you for participating in the QOTW! We hope to see you participate next week

Thank you for taking the time to read my entry. Indeed, education and information are primary keys to reducing overpopulation worldwide. Our youths need to know how to use contraceptives because some do have this knowledge but still end up making mistakes. We should not wait for our planet to collapse before we take this situation seriously.

I appreciate your visit! !PIMP !LUV 🙂

You must be killin' it out here!
@kemmyb just slapped you with 1.000 PIMP, @esther-emmanuel.

The rapid rate of overpopulation is getting out of hand, and the more the population increases the more problems we will face .

Look at the economic sector, everything deteriorated, and overpopulation also has effects on that. when the resource is not enough for the citizens, automatically, The crime rate keeps on increasing, because everyone will be fighting for survival at all cost without minding what will happen.

It's certain that if all the precautions you stated here are put into practice, the high rate of overpopulation will be reduced. This is indeed an incredible read.

Thanks a lot, @maryjacy for reading. Implementing some of these possible solutions may take a long while but the changes will definitely follow! 🙂

Valid points you have there. I think in this era, planned parenthood should be available all over the world, but yet, it's not.

I will just leave this banner with a link here as well. While being the CineTV social media manager, I've read plenty of your content. You are a good content creator who is consistent and I'd love for you to join our Listnerds team. This means you will find even more engagement and you can unlock quite high extra earnings as well.

I think in this era, planned parenthood should be available all over the world, but yet, it's not.

I quite agree too. Sadly, it's not. Places like the rural areas of developing countries have no idea how planned parenthood works!

Thanks a lot for this invitation to Listnerds. I have seen posts on it around but have no idea what it's about. I'll be sure to check it out and get in touch if I have questions. ☺️ !LADY !LUV
