Aimless wandering on a Monday morning... Sanity restored!

It's Monday, again. A good day to get back on track - setting and hitting goals.

I started the day by doing a few things online before I felt the need to go out for a walk. Ibadan is not the safest city in the country, especially at a time of the day when it's hard to see who is coming from the opposite direction. The time was already 5:55 am but everywhere was still dark. It felt like we were experiencing longer nights and shorter days.

Just to be in the security-conscious boat, I decided to take my walk inside the premises of the University of Ibadan. It takes a max of 5 minutes from my apartment to the school gate. Once inside the school premises, my mind got preoccupied with some sorta fantasies about anything and everything.

Anyone that saw me during the walk would have felt I was aimlessly walking on a Monday morning. Most of those I crossed paths with during this exercise were those that came out for their morning jogging. I was most likely the only one walking, but I had my reason(s) for choosing to walk instead of the former. Everywhere was still calm by that time of the day and the roads were less busy.

I had my earphones fixed in my ears with sounds of hangul music playing throughout the walk. I spent more time thinking of random things while stepping my feet wherever my subconscious directs me. After walking around for 40 minutes within the school premises, I felt active and ready for whatever the new week had in store for me.

When I left the school premises, I noticed that the whole city is already buzzing. You'd be surprised to see how things changed within this short period. Every cat and dog was already making moves and pursuing their goals for the new week. Lolz. Amazing!

Perhaps, If I spent an extra minute in my walk, I would have been in danger of being left behind in this hustle and bustle of the first working day of a new week.
