This little guy was so stunning when I first encountered him, that I decided to temporarily detain him so I could photograph him. Unfortunately, he switched colors on me while he waited, so it looks different than when I first found him, but it's still an impressive specimen. We've got quite a few of these on the property right now, so they must be helping with the insect population. Enjoy the photos!

I love tree frogs and I live in an area where there's quite a few of them. It is most peaceful at night when these frogs are in chorus. Nice photos.
Yeah, some of these have been breeding lately. It's relaxing to listen to them in the evening.
There were cacophonous tree frog songs in the spring when I was growing up in the midwest. I miss that. There are places nearer here with frog populations, but not in my immediate vicinity.
Did it switch colors to that of the dress you are wearing or a color nearby? Just like a chameleon
I wonder why it doesn't want to jump off of your finger? Seems like it would want to get away fast and get back to eating those garden pests!
