The FIU previously gave advance notice of Upbit restricting the deposit and withdrawal of virtual assets by new users for a certain period of time.

FIU reportedly detected 700,000 cases in which Upbit did not properly fulfill its KYC obligations during the virtual asset operator renewal review process.
