Hello to everyone in the Ladies of Hive community! Today I want to share with you one of the most important moments of my life that I have been waiting for a long time. For those of you who have been following me for a long time, you will know that I have several articles dedicated to my time at university, as a student and recently, graduating from my beloved University of Carabobo. And I simply believe that all of us who have gone through that path know all that it entails: the hours of class, study, sacrifices, obstacles, joys, pride, experience and experiences, disappointment, pride. All this is summarized in these photographs, where the goal is finally reached.

It was not easy. I live in Venezuela and it is no secret that life here can be very hard. I entered university in 2015 and being a student at that time (and even today) was not easy. We went through very strong economic and social crises, where more than once we arrived with an empty stomach to the classrooms and little money to be able to afford the demands of the race and also to pay bus fares. I had to see how little by little several of my classmates withdrew from the race to emigrate to another country in search of better opportunities. Then came the pandemic and I fell two years behind.

I don't know how we had so much courage and strength to continue. I think the support of our families, professors, friends, classmates and, of course, of oneself was key. But I can say that there was only one moment where I thought I would not make it, when I got sick during the pandemic because of my heart problem and we were not financially solvent. I'm glad I didn't. Now I look back and think that there was something crazy in having clung to the idea of continuing, but I learned to grow in adversity and always the answer to the problems was "we must go on, things must get better".

Me alegra no haberlo hecho.

I must point out something very important. This year they were not going to hold our graduation ceremony, which means that there would be no signing either. We had a date for July but it did not happen and by November they had cancelled the ceremony again. But thanks to the union of all the students, we demanded our act. Waiting longer was not an option and it would not be fair either. And well, on December 16 we will celebrate our graduation ceremony. And yes, on that day you will see me here posting about that moment hahaha.

I want to give a space for those who were vital in these events: my friend Mariangela and her mother, Ana. Who were the creators of this beautiful outfit. In another post I talked about this project and how they made the dresses for these events. It was made with a lot of love and effort. They are excellent.

The event started at seven in the morning and it was quite fast. We were out in half an hour. And as a classmate of mine would say; today we got married civilly with the UC. Finally my friends, I just want to say thank you so much for stopping by and supporting my work. Really if it wasn't for my work in Hive and the support of all the users, when I started in the pandemic, I wouldn't have been able to afford so many expenses. I send you a big hug and see you next time.
