WHAT MYTHICAL CREATURE DO YOU WISH ACTUALLY EXISTED.

I was reading an article that was about the horoscope of zodiacs. I am practically a Cancerian and my element is water. So my eyes darted to the next sentence and I burst into laughter.

The reason why I laughed so hard was that the writer knew exactly how Cancerians behave, especially the sensitive ones. In this case, I am in this category but am more fearless and bold (basically because of how I grew)... It said and I quote ...

I was like, how does this writer know that I have albums of Enya's collection and I play them consistently even to this present day, lol, I hate it when someone attacks me with what I do privately, like how do you see me lmao. I think this is because he or she feels that we Cancerians are quite emotional in nature.

Remember, I said that my element is water, I can't dispute the fact that I and water have an intimate connection although everyone uses water right?!!? Please don't say am weird! I certainly know what I'm saying. I could clarify that.

Yesterday being the 14th of June I had conversations with my good friend and I was telling him about the challenges am having currently and what will make me feel good, free, and recharged is sinking into a pool of water for as long as it takes and coming out like a newborn baby, and I asked him if he knows how to swim and he said yes!!

So, I pleaded with him to teach me how to while I used the opportunity to sink myself which he obliged. Infact, I remembered I wrote an article about something similar to this in one of the contests in ECOTRAIN ... ... see here

How does water come into all of this?

Back to the question of the week {QOTW}, the mythical creature that I honestly and genuinely wished to be in existence is the mermaids. In old tales, a mermaid is a mythical creature that is aquatic in nature and has a head like that of a human and a tail like that of a fish.

They are said to be connected with precarious disasters like floods, storms, shipwrecks, and drowning following a high number of casualties.

These creatures are magnificent beings with a heavenly voice, they can be benevolent or charitable and freely bestow petitions. Sirens as they are also called have the power to allure people.

Their place of abode is in the oceans, rivers, beaches, and streams name it all as far as they have something in common "water" but basically they dwell in a depth of water underneath.

According to many tales I have heard about the mermaids, they barely exist. Although I have watched some documents showing them lounging around rocks in a spot enjoying the natural atmosphere and humming their enchanted songs.

It is believed that this mythical creature uses its magical singing voice to lure people to their death and manipulate the victim's minds by controlling them. Unfortunately, there are good eggs too that fall in love with humans and help people who are drowning, grant wishes asf!

Based on some research I made, this said mythical creature is not as beautiful as they were envisioned these days. I wish they would be so real like the way I imagined it in a picturesque aspect.

In Nigeria, it is normally called " Mami-Water " meaning " Mother of the Water " because they believe that this half-human-half-fish creature is the goddess of the sea. I am so gullible that I believe the same thing. I mean they are in charge of the water, hehe I didn't say totally in charge just like the way fishes in all species have the sea and ocean to themselves that's the same way they do too but in this, they are ranking in high order.

Infact, I read they don't eat fish but eat sea foods just to be clarified. Can anyone categorize these kinds of seafood? I want to know if fish are also among... hehe

One thing I adore about these sea-dwelling creatures is the fact that they love water just like I do and they assign good fortunes, gifts, and healing to people who treat them well and inflict pain, misery, and death on folks who treat them badly.

In conclusion, if I was a mermaid although I wished for it hehe, I would build my camp very close to the sea where I could watch the seagulls tell me when a storm is about to hit the land, and the chirping sounds of the birds and the sounds of crashing waves as it helps me stay away from worries of this life.
