I agree that the prices are only getting higher and higher. Part of the problem is that we are not changing our habits, just adjusting to the higher prices. I have stopped buying high-end food, mostly to keep within my own self-inflicted budget. (sort of)
Do you think we are headed for a recession? You don't? If it keeps on going like this, I don't see where else it can go. We are paying for the poorly thought out fixes to the big problems as Covid was shutting down the world. I have to admit, I am glad I wasn't in charge of that, but, look at this! I don't want to be in charge of this either!
I have started cooking a little differently, I have always canned and kept a great supply of dried beans, and things that stand the test of time. I have already done much of the jam for next year and other food items. I am not a pessimist, I just believe that leaner times are coming. I dehydrate meat into jerky, it is such an easy thing to do.
I'm still stacking. I went ahead and ordered one of those monster boxes of fun! I needed something pretty, you know? A fun post that takes a serious look at the economy.
