Hello, dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all doing well. Today I am stopping by, as usual, to participate in the questions of the week, this time with @irenenavarroart with questions to help us relax a little.
You've earned the money to buy a house, and you have two options. The first is a big, beautiful house, but one whose best years are behind it. It needs a lot of repairs and remodeling, and therefore its price is low. The second option is a small house. It's not as beautiful as the previous one, but you don't have to invest time or money in repairs so its price is much higher than the previous one. What do you choose? Are you on the "repair to my liking" team or the "buy everything ready and fast" team?
I thought long and hard about this answer as if I were really facing this dilemma. At first, I went for the first option, mainly because I liked the fact that it was bigger and nicer, as well as being cheaper. But then I thought about how much I would have to spend to get it into good condition and whether these improvements would mean it would take longer before I could move in. So, since I'm practical, I'm going to go with the second option, a house that's already ready and in good condition, maybe not used much or brand new, which I like. On the other hand, I know that what I spend will be the final price and I wouldn't have to think about what else I need to fix, or how much more it would cost me.

I also thought that since I seem to have the money for both options, I'd better play it safe and not worry so much about the size of the house. I think I prefer something small rather than large. I've never been interested in great luxuries, far from it, so as long as it's livable, I'll be fine. And well, that doesn't mean I can't decorate it to my liking, put my personal touch on each space, and make it a much nicer house than it seemed at first glance. After all, if you know how to do it, you can create beautiful spaces with little. Plus, I could make repairs and improvements over time if necessary.
Ultimately, a small, modest house seems to be more my style. They're easier to keep clean and tidy, and I find them warmer and more comfortable, unless you have a very large family and don't know where to put everyone when you have gatherings, ha ha ha. But anyway, that can be fixed; you just need a little ingenuity, and the important thing is to have a place to live that you know will always be yours.

Well, friends, that's it for my entry in the weekly contest. I hope you liked it, and I invite all of you who read this to participate as well.
Thank you for reading and supporting my content.
See you next time!

It's cool to know the reason behind your choice. It's of no doubt that small space gives room for things in it to come out nice
Absolutely, small spaces have their charm too. Thank you very much for stopping by!

Yes, the house I currently live in is also small, but with a little ingenuity and knowing how to arrange the spaces, it works well. Thank you very much, best regards!

A small house would only need your personal decoration, which shouldn't mean a lot of expense. I think being able to move in immediately is a very good thing.

Yes, I think I'm very practical in that sense. I'm on the second team, haha.
Cheers!
This is such a smart and practical way to look at it 💖 I love that you considered the time and money, not just the size 🙌 A modest home that's all your own and feels comfortable is definitely worth more than a huge headache 😊
I like analyzing all the options. It seemed like a good imaginative exercise, and the truth is, yes, a finished house would be ideal. Thanks so much for stopping by!
