Hello to all the mothers of the community and to all the women who are part of it. I wanted to participate in this new initiative, but from a different perspective because it seems to me that we all understand what this condition represents for mothers, although, in all honesty, not all of us understand it or do the impossible to be a better mother and deliver a better human being to society.

Among the questions of this initiative there is one that asks us what role we women should assume in society and I think it is excellent, but I go a little further to put into context what we mothers should do to achieve a better society.

The first thing I would say is to take care and educate our children better. Try to ensure that the feeling they receive from early childhood is love. It is not one hundred percent sure that everything we educate with love will be loving in adulthood, but, there are greater possibilities that this child of ours will be a better person than if we instill in him mean feelings or that is what he sees in our family environment.

Instill in our children a sense of responsibility and love for work. This is vital because if we teach the child that to have something you have to conquer it, that nothing in life should be the result of deceit, but of personal effort, when he grows up he will achieve that his personal wealth will be the fruit of his work and personal effort.

Educate by personal example. More than giving lessons to our children, what is really important is that they see that what we do and say goes in the same direction because the child is a sponge and we are a mirror for them. For this reason, they will pay more attention to our actions than to what we say.

For these and other reasons, mothers are an important part of balance and a better society. Mothers are the best teachers there can be because instilling moral values is much better than teaching mathematics, geography and other subjects.

Dentro de las interrogantes de esta iniciativa hay una que nos plantea qué papel debemos asumir las mujeres en la sociedad y me parece excelente, pero, voy un poco más allá para poner en contexto qué debemos hacer las madres para lograr una mejor sociedad.

Lo primero que diría es cuidar y educar mejor a nuestros hijos. Tratar que el sentimiento que reciban desde la primera infancia sea el amor. No es cien por ciento seguro que todo lo que eduquemos con amor sea amoroso en la adultez, pero, existen mayores posibilidades que este hijo nuestro sea una mejor persona que si inculcamos en él sentimientos mezquinos o es lo que ve en nuestro entorno familiar.

Infundir en nuestros hijos el sentido de la responsabilidad y el amor por el trabajo. Esto es vital porque si enseñamos al niño que para tener algo hay que conquistarlo, que nada en la vida debe ser fruto del engaño, sino del esfuerzo personal, cuando crezca logrará que sus riquezas personales sean el fruto de su trabajo y esfuerzo personal.

Educar con el ejemplo personal. Más que darles lecciones a nuestros hijos, lo verdaderamente importante es que vea que lo que hacemos y decimos va en la misma dirección porque el niño es una esponja y nosotros somos un espejo para ellos. Por tal razón, ellos se fijarán más en nuestras acciones que en lo que pregonamos.

Por esas y otras razones, las madres forman parte importante del equilibrio y de que tengamos una mejor sociedad. Las madres son las mejores profesoras que puedan existir porque inculcar valores morales es mucho mejor que enseñar Matemáticas, Geografía y otras materias.

En la misma medida en que criemos hijos educados, responsables, honestos, amorosos y respetuosos, la sociedad en la que vivimos será mucho mejor y nuestro aporte será el más importante de todos.
