The Chittagonians!!!

Nope, it is not a wedding ceremony you are seeing, I assure you! To your pleasant surprise, it is just a ceremony to celebrate the "ear/nose piercing of the girls"!

Amongst all the cities in Bangladesh, I believe there are no cities that are so overwhelmingly enthusiastic about celebrating anything and everything they find it as an excuse to throw a house party!!

For an absolute introvert like me, belonging to such a party-loving tribe, as you have assumed, is a nightmare for me to keep up with their pace! Certainly, as I successfully failed to match their energy, I have quite earned the title "black sheep" an antisocial, uncommunicative being (with all possible politeness!)," starting from the family to friends and relatives gracefully!

However, that does not imply, I adore them any less, which is why even though I love to participate in the functions and all, I unfortunately cannot but nonetheless, I do make up for that by being involved once in a while.
But...then they get confused and worried whenever I want to participate in something and want to celebrate together instead of being happy! I mean, I understand and cannot really blame them, but damn that sure hurts my feelings!

Anyway, so this time too, for some "unknown" reason, or perhaps I have missed them meeting for too long and my heart was yearning for another overly energy draining incident after being in hibernation for a long time, I decided to participate in one this time.

And not to mention, I chose a minimal one, but to my not-so-pleasant surprise, it sure was not anything smaller than expected! It almost felt like a wedding ceremony, almost anyone and everyone who had the possibility of coming, did come! Even the families, relatives I least expected as well.

But in the end, I would smile thinking about the event later as I did, so regardless how awkward or little-uncomfortable it was, I loved it. I loved how my grandma was rejoicing and actually laughing and dancing, smiling, and being an absolute busy bee...I adored that part the most.
She is the very best thing that kept us connected together not to mention, and god-bless her, she has become so weak these days. So, for her I run to home, of course my very own home, my mother as well goes there at that time, which is convenient and satisfying.

Anyhow, regardless of all those inconveniences, I adore that family. Though the paternal side of the family should be the actual family for one to call home, but for me it was opposite. My maternal uncles and aunts have been my, our home all along, forever. Hence, along with our diversities (or just probably "only" me and "all" of them) we fight, get angry, argue, but never fall out of love.

All the contents are mine, until mentioned otherwise!
