I wanted to join this week's initiative #174, and the question I chose to answer is this:
Some of the most beautiful moments of the day are sunrise and sunset. We want to know which one is your favorite and why. Also, add a photo you've taken of your favorite so we can all share in its beauty.
Sunrise and sunset are undoubtedly two of the most everyday wonders life gifts us, each with its own palette of colors and emotions. Though both are undoubtedly charming, if I have to choose, my heart always leans towards the sunrise, even though in my city, this spectacle can be a bit like flipping a coin.
On some mornings, the city wakes up under a thick quilt of fog, and the cold sneaks through the cracks of the windows, inviting you to stay in bed a little longer. On these days, the sun seems to have trouble waking up, and the world stays in a limbo of soft shadows and deep silences. But then, there are mornings when the sun has no intention of sleeping in and appears in all its glory, bathing everything in its golden light and promising a day full of life and energy.

Algunos de los momentos más bellos del día son el amanecer y el atardecer. Queremos saber cuál es tu favorito y por qué. Además, agregue una foto que haya tomado de su favorito para que todos podamos compartir su belleza.
El amanecer y el atardecer son, sin duda, dos de las maravillas más cotidianas que nos regala la vida, cada una con su propia paleta de colores y emociones. Aunque ambos tienen su encanto sin lugar a dudas, si tengo que elegir, mi corazón siempre se inclina hacia el amanecer, a pesar de que en mi ciudad, este espectáculo sea un poco como lanzar una moneda al aire.
En algunos amaneceres, la ciudad se despierta bajo un espeso edredón de neblina, y el frío se cuela por las rendijas de las ventanas, invitándote a quedarte en cama un ratito más. Estos días, el sol parece tener problemas para despertarse, y el mundo se queda en un limbo de sombras suaves y silencios profundos. Pero luego, hay mañanas en las que el sol no tiene ninguna intención de dormirse y aparece en todo su esplendor, bañando todo con su luz dorada y prometiendo un día lleno de vida y energía.
I admit, I love this morning lottery. Sunrise is my moment of hope, my daily reminder that every day is a new opportunity, no matter how hard it was to get out of bed. Although sunset brings with it a serene beauty, a pause to breathe and contemplate what we've lived through, it's the promise of a new beginning that truly moves me.
I choose sunrise because, even on days when the fog is so dense that I can barely see the building across the street, I know the sun is there, striving to make its way through. It's a reminder that, regardless of the obstacles, there's always light waiting for its moment to shine. Every sunrise tells me, "Hey, no matter what happens, here's another chance. Make it count."
So yes, I'm a fan of the sunrise, with all its unpredictability and changing beauty. I like to think that, in some way, each new day is a reflection of ourselves: sometimes clear, sometimes confused, but always full of possibilities. And that, for me, is more than enough reason to wake up early.
Lo admito, me encanta esta lotería matinal. El amanecer es mi momento de esperanza, mi recordatorio diario de que cada día es una nueva oportunidad, sin importar cuánto haya costado levantarse de la cama. Aunque el atardecer trae consigo una belleza serena, una pausa para respirar y contemplar lo que hemos vivido, es la promesa de un nuevo comienzo lo que realmente me mueve.
Elijo el amanecer porque, incluso en los días en que la neblina es tan densa que apenas puedo ver el edificio de enfrente, sé que el sol está allí, esforzándose por abrirse camino. Es un recordatorio de que, sin importar los obstáculos, siempre hay luz esperando su momento para brillar. Cada amanecer me dice "Hey, no importa lo que pase, aquí tienes otra oportunidad. Hazla contar".
Así que sí, soy una fanatica del amanecer, con toda su imprevisibilidad y su belleza cambiante. Me gusta pensar que, de alguna manera, cada nuevo día es un reflejo de nosotros mismos: a veces claros, a veces confusos, pero siempre llenos de posibilidades. Y eso, para mí, es más que suficiente razón para madrugar.

Living far up on the northern hemisphere the sunrises are not as dramatic when you are closer to the equator but they are still pleasant in Canada as I begin to go home after my night shift. But when it's rainy, it is so different. One day I will travel south for a vacation experience.
