#179 Mom, Me, and my Daughters: My most unforgettable Memories and The Lessons I learned from my Wondermom.

As I read the questions/topics posted on this community, I smiled and flashbacks of the past appeared. I am very excited and happy to be able to share with you a bit of my mom (I call her "mama" by the way.)

Disciplined, and a disciplinary

She's all that.

She came home from abroad, pregnant with me and still unmarried. Please do note that at their time, an unmarried woman with a child is discriminated harshly and is the talk of the town. She endured it all just to raise me. She married my daddy while I was still in her womb.

I often ask her how she managed to take care of me while daddy was away. She told me that there were times she'd cry in the corner of her room because of her situation. When she delivered me, her sister helped her with house chores and somehow we managed to survive. And with my father's financial support, she continued taking care of me. This is still ongoing till now that I am married, she's still here guiding me.

This was on my college days... rebellious days rather...

In my 30 years pf existence, Many times I made her cry because of my selfishness and stubbornness but despite all that, she never abandoned me. She chose to stay and discipline me and I am beyond grateful that she did. At those times, I felt mad and sad at the same time but now, I am very much thankful she did all that. If not, I wouldn't be where I am now. This is because she never gave up. And because she genuinely loves me.

And that's what I learned from her. To love genuinely and all the other good traits will follow.

If it's about the unforgettable moments I had with her, there are many things up in my mind but what stands out the most was the moments where I cry because of my problems and she's always there, cries too and embraces me with all her warmth. As she does that, she rubs my back and tells me that I can pas through it- that it's just a challenge. I'd cry for hours and she stays with me till I feel okay.- That I will never forget.

I love my mom and all those things I learned from her, I want to pass them to my daughters too. It may not be exactly as what she did to me but I hope, they also learn to love genuinely. ❤️
