Nueva iniciativa de la comunidad, esta vez con buenas preguntas propuestas por @saffisara quien me hizo pensar en un tema muy cliché pero del cual tengo una perspectiva probablemente diferente a la usual...
New initiative from the community, this time with good questions proposed by @saffisara who made me think about a very cliché topic but of which I have a perspective probably different than usual...
Usualmente se asocia lo de almas gemelas a las parejas sentimentales. Supuestamente tendrás una relación maravillosa si tienes la suerte de encontrar a esa persona que bien es tu complemento perfecto o es tan parecida a ti que parecen ser casi la misma persona. Esa conexión es mucho más especial que cualquier otra, por lo que encontrar esa alma gemela es el sueño de muchos.
Sin embargo, para mí las almas gemelas no son necesariamente parejas sentimentales. Pueden ser literalmente cualquier persona con la que puedas ser tú mismo libremente, aquel en quien confies completamente, quien siempre está allí para ti, aquella persona que te aprecia, respeta y te considera igual de importante en su vida. Esta descripción puede encajar en una mejor amiga, en un hermano, incluso en alguien que hayas conocido alguna vez pero que por cualquier razón ya no está presente en tu vida.
Soulmates are often associated with romantic partners. You're supposed to have a wonderful relationship if you're lucky enough to find that person who is either your perfect match or is so similar to you that they seem to be almost the same person. That connection is much more special than any other, so finding that soulmate is the dream of many.
However, for me soulmates are not necessarily romantic partners. They can be literally anyone with whom you can be yourself freely, someone you trust completely, who is always there for you, someone who appreciates you, respects you, and considers you equally important in their life. This description can fit a best friend, a sibling, even someone you once knew but for whatever reason is no longer present in your life.
¿Creo yo en esas almas gemelas? Pues sí, o al menos creo que he sentido esa conexión. Aún así no es algo que pueda afirmar con seguridad, porque es posible que no existan y lo que se describe como tal es simplemente una afinidad hacia alguien, sin más.
Pero otra cosa que también opino del tema es que no necesariamente tenemos una única alma gemela, pueden ser varias personas las que a su manera perticular conecten profundamente con nosotros, dejando una huella importante en nuestras vidas y esa conexión que quizá hasta sea tan inquebrantable como dicen.
Do I believe in soul mates? Well yes, or at least I think I have felt that connection before. Still, it is not something I can assure, because it is possible that they do not exist and what is described as such is simply an affinity towards someone, nothing else.
But another thing I also think about the topic is that we do not necessarily have a single soul mate, there may be several people who in their own particular way connect deeply with us, leaving an important mark on our lives and that connection that may even be as unbreakable as they say.
Hay varias cosas que podría mencionar, pero para seguir con la misma temática de esta semana, son precisamente esas personas que considero mis almas gemelas las que son capaces de alegrarme durante un mal día. Son ellos quienes de alguna manera pueden animarme bien sea escuchándome, haciendo algo para distraerme o hacerme reír, o simplemente dándome todo el cariño posible.
Más allá si existen o no, yo le deseo a todo el mundo que encuentren personas como esas, quienes estén en las buenas y malas, siempre aportando algo bonito, positivo, algo que sin duda te hará sentirte bien.
There are several things I could mention, but to continue with the same theme of this week, it is precisely those people that I consider my soul mates who are able to change my mood during a bad day. They are the ones who can somehow cheer me up, either by listening to me, doing something to distract me or make me laugh, or simply giving me all the love they can.
Beyond whether they exist or not, I wish everyone to find people like that, who are there in good times and bad, always contributing something nice, positive, something that will undoubtedly make you feel good.

That is soo true, I agree with you that a soulmate doesn't need to be a romantic one. It can be a family member, a best friend that you feel close to and who you feel connected to 🩷 you say it well and I am like you there. Loved reading this.
