Do you know what Last Stand does? Do you use a unit that both have magic and melee attacks? Did you know Zebajin can get up to 16 health on its own?

A lot of abilities in Splinterlands stack up with each other. Usually, the abilities that gives you stats like health, damage, speed and armor can stack up. This is also true with Last Stand. If you're playing a lot of units with stacking Protect, pull out your Zebajin for its Armored Strike and put him in the last position to use Last Stand.

Let's talk about… Zebajin

For the last five years, Zebajin Tala'varis, a formidable runemancer and veteran Rifwatcher, has worked closely with Bera Dallin and her companions, conducting unconventional warfare against the Chaos Empire—namely covert operations, subversion, and the training of local citizenries in guerrilla warfare.
It was Zebajin who trained the young girl with the pirate hat in the ways of runemancy. But she is no longer a young girl, and the woman they call Captain Fellblade has surpassed even him in her mastery of runic magic.

Zebajin is really affordable for $30. Zebajin is a legendary Rebellion unit which makes it more limited than others and for a full leveled card for only $30, I'd say it is very affordable to get it now.

Players are now starting to understand the strength of Zebajin and that's seen on the lack of rental option for Zebajin. Right now, you can only rent a level 3 for 5.65 DEC per day probably because of Survival Mode. I rented mine for a little bit less than 10 DEC per day.

Use it in...

All Units have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. Zebajin's really good with Armored Up rule set. Not only your magic attack can get past enemy's armor but you also get extra damage from Armored Strike

Units lose the Sneak and Snipe abilities. This rule set assures that Zebajin will be the last unit standing by putting him last. It removes all Sneak, Snipe and Opportunity on the battle which works best with Zebajin's Last Stand.

All units have Blast (deals an additional 50% damage to units adjacent to the target, rounded up). Armored Strike is considered a secondary attack. The Blast from Explosive Weaponry Rule Set would have a blast effect in it as well.

Avoid using it in...

Units do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs. This rule set removes effect of Armored Strike. No armor means no way to attack with armor.

The initial Health of all Units is equal to that of the Units on either team with the highest base Health. Enemy can make use of Zebajin's high health for their own. This is worse because of Zebajin's low damage. You need to have high attack units to counter units having high health. That is something I learned in Gold when I got Equalizer for like every 4 games.

All units have Magic Reflect (returns 50% of magic damage to attacker, rounded up). Magic Reflect is not a real threat to Zebajin due to his low magic attack but it's still a disadvantage. It's like adding a unit that takes damage each round.

Battle Strat: Using Zebajin's Last Stand is really strong but I want a good tank magic tank in this battle so I placed Zebajin behind Fungus Fiend. Since There's Equalizer rule set, Fungus Fiend can be a good tank this game at 12 health for 0 mana. Target Practice rule set would have been good for me if my enemy did not play a full melee, which invalidates the Target Practice rule set because I have no non-melee to target with Snipe.

Battle Summary: Even though no one really took advantage of Target Practice rule set, I still had a huge advantage because I'm using magic attacks. My attacks passes through the enemy's armor so Kelya Frendul is less effective in this battle. This battle was an easy game with my consistent magic attacks while the enemy missed a few and I don't even have to use my Last Stand or Armored Strike.
