I have some beautiful flowers growing in pots on my deck, but what person who has a camera in their hand can resist taking flower photos when such beauties are prominently on display along the sidewalk!

I could smell these lilacs long before I saw where they were. They were blooming high above my head and I might have missed seeing them if not for that marvelous fragrance!
clematis
I love this time of year when nature puts on such a grand show! People are outdoors enjoying working in their yards after a long black and white winter, and all of these wonderful colors stop us in our tracks to appreciate all the loveliness!
Stop and smell the roses 🙂 always good advice 👍 there are lots of iris in bloom here right now. Lilacs are also very common. Lilacs are now on my list of plants to find a place to plant 😊 As I walk around I am always wanting to plant everything that is currently in bloom haha
I do the same! At this time of year it is painful for me to not be out digging and planting and getting dirt under my fingernails. But I am enjoying my potted garden! My onions never germinated. I think the seeds were too old and had not been properly stored.
My onions are growing but greens are very thin and tall. I will probably do a garden update post over the weekend if I can stand the mosquitos long enough to get some photos 😅
I appreciate every moment I spend outside with no mosquitoes. I have no idea why that is... The abundance of birds? The icy cold water in the spring pond? The fast moving river? Whatever the reason I am truly grateful! Especially when I think of all the years I spent in my garden, when I lived further north near a swampy area, wrapped in mosquito netting and burning mosquito coils on each side of me!
They are really beautiful flowers, I have some flower plants. But while my mother was in the hospital, the neighbors' chickens damaged them.
Hope your mom is happily settled in at home. I know she is glad to be there!
My neighbors chicken ate all my parsley. There is only one chicken right now, so her damage is manageable!
Since Monday afternoon we are at home. She has to have rest so that everything finishes healing. There are about 10 chickens here and they have done a lot of damage.
Hope they at least share some eggs with you!
I don't think so, these neighbors are a little terrible, but hey, I just hope they keep their chickens in check.
I have a couple terrible neighbors, too, so I understand!

Roses are full of fragrance, specially when its pink or red. Loved these photos of awesome flowers. These are truly natural beauty.
Roses haven't started blooming here yet. I love the smell of the little pink wild roses that grow along the roadsides.

That is such a lovely deep pink shade of peonies and the lilac always reminds me of my Grandmother. She did not wear perfumes, but she grew some in her yard and always shared a few bouquets when they were blooming. Such wonderful memories.
