1️⃣ Why do you think society places such a high value on beauty
when it serves no functional purpose?
what is the essence of beauty without a good character.
Our society today place high value on beauty simple because of the sense of belonging: [she's beautiful or he's handsome] today society runs after beauty and at the end of the day it bounced back on us.
While growing up I was privilege to live among students(higher institution), there was this particular lady then she was blessed with hight and she has hips but no burst.
though I was still a child then but I was close to almost all the ladies in our compound then. this particular lady I so much like her because she cooks and bake a lot, and she will always call for me to have a taste of what ever she cooks so that make me like her so much. Whenever this ladies among themselves she won't gather with them so they say different things about her.
Sometimes they will appreciate her beauty and most of the time they will condemn her out of envy that she doesn't have burst after sometime this lady burst started increasing.
Then one day my mom called me and ask is your "Mama" pregnant? coz I refer to her as mama and I said to my mom I don't know seriously I didn't understand her question not until she was sick and she has to travel and thankfully the semester has ended so you have to pack up your things. it was after she left I saw a breast enlargement cream in her room I was happy thinking I could use it so that my breast will grow bigger but showing it to my mom then I realize what happen to her.
she has lumps in the breast while it later develop to cancer, that was where beauty lead her to. Because of people shaming her for having small boobs she went ahead and enlarge it which endangered her life.
In this life, body beauty is not everything. Love yourself the way you are and never listen to what people have to say about you, it's your life after all.

Many people listen to the bad thing others say about them instead of focusing on what matter, because they body shame her she destroy her own life. Those people that say all those things that make her to go to that length will be the one to blame her at the end of the day. Let be contented with what ever we have
