I have always told my friends and anyone that cares to listen that marriage and motherhood should come with a manual. It wouldn't hurt to have a lot of information about what to expect instead of just winging it and hoping we are right. One thing I most definitely wasn't told was the fact that I will have to sacrifice some things and by that I mean almost everything when I have children.
I love my children and I will have them over again in a heartbeat if I have to do this again. I just want to highlight something I had to sacrifice to ensure the children have their mom all to themselves. So to give a little context, I have always wanted to work in an office, with a fully functional A.C and my laptop just working like every other person; a nine to five with decent pay. I also wanted a side hustle that is more like a hobby but also brings in some $$. Life had a different plan because I got pregnant just before Covid and the side hustle I started had to go on hold because I just wasn't strong enough for the stress the business demanded at the time.
I didn't give up at all though because I still went on to search for jobs and even though I did not get a job with an office, an air condition and all that, I got an amazing one that is so fulfilling, and I even get to do it at home. but here's the issue, working from home is not as easy as people make it seem. I have to work so hard because results for what I do is the only evidence I can have to prove that I actually am working.
To sum it up, motherhood comes with a lot of sacrifices and I think sleep is on the top of the list. The crazy part is that I enjoy doing the sacrificing thing. LOL. One example is with money, before I got married, the first thing I would think of when I had money was my appearance, and then food; now, all I think of is diapers and baby food and the likes, anything to make sure the kids are okay.
I recently rejected a job offer that would not allow me have time for my kids and I have not quite been able to discuss it yet. I was really looking forward to the financial break and viola, it needed me to be away from home. I don't regret it though, I am sure a better one will come and it will be perfect for us all.

The sacrifices of motherhood, right? I hear you. From the moment that they come into our lives, we are never quite the same. Our identities are split into mother, wife, and self... and probably in that order too! Our time no longer belongs to us. Everything we do seems to revolve around these little people that we love so much hehe. It can be quite an adjustment. I have two boys, ages 11 and 12 (almost 13) and my time usually only starts when they go to bed !LOLZ Holding out for the right job seems wise - you will be much happier if you do. My job allows me sufficient flexibility around my kids and it is a blessing. I pray the perfect opportunity comes your way at the right time for you 🥰 !LUV !ALIVE !Hug

Awesome, finding an online job while being home to raise the kids and homemaking is always a big deal. Committing to Motherhood doesn't mean that you can't still have a gainful job. Besides, you never know where it can lead you to.

Thank you so much! Yeah, I am definitely not stressing about not having a job at the moment, I am keeping an open mind hoping for a job that will allow me have time for my family.
I will say not a manual but it will be an encyclopedia....haha. As a mother and a wife a woman has to always keep juggling between her responsibilities and her dreams. It is never easy to make these decisions and at the same time as you say they are fulfilling and you will do it over and over again. Kudos to you gir!
