Hey girls- Ovarian cyst should not be ignored !!!

I used to think ovarian cyst go away on their own within a few months. You know that many women do not seek treatment until the cyst has caused them considerable pain or other problems. The best way to ensure that a cyst is treated effectively is to be aware of the symptoms and see a doctor as soon as possible.

I visited the doctor because I had been feeling pain in my lower abdomen last year. After doing some tests, the doctor told me that I had ovarian cysts. I think it's just a common occurrence for women that happened to most women at some point in their lives and didn't take it seriously. Then I totally forgot about it until I have recently experienced pain in my side, something getting bigger inside (it's probably not a baby...), so I made an appointment to see my doctor. After an ultrasound, I found out that the cysts have grown in size and were now causing pain. To deal with large ovarian cysts, I'm advised the best course of action is surgery to remove them. I am nervous about the surgery, but I am also hopeful that it will help me feel better.

I was told (by the doctor) that an ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops on or inside an ovary, which is a common occurrence with women. Most ovarian cysts are benign (noncancerous), and many women never know they have them. Most ovarian cysts are benign and disappear without causing any problems. Symptoms of an ovarian cyst include pain in the lower abdomen, bloating, and difficulty urinating. If an ovarian cyst is large or causes problems, it may need to be removed surgically.

Treatment options depend on the size and type of cyst. In most cases, observation is all that is needed. In my case, the cyst is large so it need to be removed with surgery. I also heard some serious ovarian cysts can be cancerous, so don't underestimate it, and please do health checks regularly, girls. I thought that an ovarian cyst will disappear without treatment within a few months and wasn't worried about it. See now! I have to have surgery. Surgery is never a fun experience, but I hope that mine will be done through endoscopy (because I'm really afraid of knife cutting my skin). Everything would be okay. I feel much better now and ready for it.

I am currently in the hospital and waiting for some more test before my surgery next week. While I'm here, I have been trying to find ways to kill time. One way I have found is to bring some books, a mask, and download some movies on my laptop. This has helped to pass the time and make my stay a little more bearable. 🤗
