Fangirl Edition - MSP Crew Movie Fan Screening Event In Bangkok (Satang, Winny & Mark)

Hi Everyone,

I've never been to a new movie screening before let alone to watch the new film with celebrities in Bangkok. There were a few fan screenings while I was in Bangkok that never suited my schedule but I finally found one with some of the MSP cast (minus Fourth & Gemini) for the new Indiana Jones movie. I'm not a fan of that movie at all but I do want to experience what it's like to go to a fan screen so I bought tickets from a re-seller on Twitter and attended it at the IMAX theatre at Siam Paragon.

It's my first time being something from a re-seller and on Twitter so it was a double risk there. It turned out the girl I bought it from was also a fan who is attending the same fan screening so that was a success. Fan screenings in Thailand are when you watch the film with the celebrities and then they would have some activities with the fans before or after the film. After I got my tickets from the fan who I met at the cinema, she told me to get some special edition tickets with her as a gift for attending the session. We were told to go inside at 7 pm in preparation for the activities organised for us. I am hoping to see Winny, Satang and Mark who are my favourite in the show.

I was seated on the 6th row from the front which was pretty good, pretty close to the stage. Next to me was a local fan and on my right was a fan who is from overseas but has been living in Thailand for 3 years. We had a chat and got an insight into how often she can see concerts in Bangkok. I was telling her how jealous I was and wish I was able to attend so many events so often. At around 7.30 pm, the stars arrived and activities started. Unfortunately, everything was spoken in Thai so I just have to guess what they were on about and just go with the flow. They played some games, interviewed if they have seen any of the older Indiana Jones movies, and so on. In the end, they were calling out random seat numbers for people to go down and take a picture with the stars. Our row was unlucky and only 1 person was called. All up, the activities were around 1 hour and then the movie started.

The movie wasn't great as expected though it was a bit exciting at the beginning and end. The rest was pretty boring and I was on my phone most of the time like most of the fans there. After the movie finished, I quickly went downstairs to see if I was able to catch Winny, Satang, and Mark when they leave. Funny enough, many fans were waiting outside the toilet!?!?! I guess the guys were inside doing their business. Thinking how ridiculous it was, I decided to just wait near the ticket area and see how my luck was. The cast was walking towards me and those around me were already forming a nice line waiting to say our goodbyes to the boys. I put out my hand for a fist pump (it's something people now do since COVID so there are no handshakes etc) and Mark touched my hand. I have to say, everyone around me was super calm, no screaming or being crazy, and all were very well-behaved fans so I guess that's why the stars were very relaxed when walking past us.

The fan screening is just like I imagined. No crazy fans screaming, pushing, or doing stupid things. Everyone was honestly there to watch a movie and see it with their favourite stars. I guess I was lucky when Mark touched my hand and that moved him up my list of favourites LOL! It was such a fun night although the movie wasn't great. I was gutted to find out my favourite Pond and Phuwin will have a fan screening for Mission Impossible a few days after I leave so hopefully I could see them at a fan screen settings in the near future.
