What's one topic that I could happily talk about for hours? Well to be honest there are quite a few things that I am passionate about, things that I would be happy to share with other people. It's mostly what I write about on here, sharing my views, my insight, my experience. But they all fall under the one umbrella really and that is living a more natural life. Everything from what I eat, to what I put on my body, to growing my own food and how I birthed my children and raise them.
To live in a way, that comes naturally to me, that comes naturally from within me. We tend to over complicate our lives, but then again, many of us are born, experiencing complications. Birth itself, which is one of the most natural thing a woman can do, has become increasingly medicalised down through the years. Pregnancy and birth, are big business these days. With many women never really getting to tap into the full power of their bodies during birth. Simply because they are rarely allow to just be, to just surrender to the whole birth process.
I understand the need for birthing centers, I just don't agree that women need to be hospitalised. Birth is not a sickness, it is a rite of passage.
My passion for natural birth, led to me, training to become a Doula.
We have many different rites of passage, but rarely are they acknowledged as such. We tend to crave some recognition, around these times of our lives and when that doesn't happen, we fill that void with alcohol or drugs. A way to celebrate our coming of age, our transition from one stage of our lives to another, both death and birth. Rarely listening to what our bodies really need, instead following a feeling, that has mostly be dampened throughout our lives.
From a young age, we are told abut the importance of listening to others, respecting others, seeking out the help of others. Which of course is important, but what about resecting ourselves, following our own initiation. Things that are far more empowering. But that is not the way of our world unfortunately, unless you opt to step away from the status quo. To really listen to your own inner knowing, because we do know, we just forgot how to listen, how to nurture that inner wisdom. It's simply not prioritised.
Time spend in nature, helps you to reconnect, to deepen our relationship with ourselves. To me, nature has and always will be, one of my greatest teachers. Reminding me to slow down, to observe, to reflect. How the winter time, I should focus my energy inwards, to connect more with my roots. It's natural to want to spend more time indoors, away from others. To spend time quietly by the fire, contemplating, nurturing. Then when Spring arrives, I will have the energy needed to plant the seeds that I created in the depth of the winter months. To bring my ideas to life.
To follow a more natural life cycle. To honour my body, my life. To really understand, how everything is connected. How the food I eat, affects my mind as well as my body, how the products I use, do the same. How important it is, that I take responsibility for my own well being. To educate myself, on natural foods and medicine. Learning to identify and gather medicinal herbs, so that I know what I put into my body and the bodies of my children.
To understand that life itself is meant to be simple. Still challenging, but simple in the way that I am connected with nature, with the elements. That I fully understand that whatever I do to nature, I do to myself. That for me to thrive, I have to be invested n creating a life for myself, where nature continues to thrive as well. Every time, I write about living simply, the following song always comes into my head and I always have to sing it.
I find my joy in the simple things,
that come from the earth.
I find my joy in the sun that shines
and the river that sings to me,
listen to the wind and listen to the water,
hear what they say,
singing hey ya , hey ya, hey ya, hey ya,
hey ya, hey ya, ho.
Oh never forget, never forget to give thanks,
give thanks and praise,
give thanks and praise"
All the photos that I have used in this post, are mine.
I had a friend who became a doula after her kids left home. That sounds like something I'd be interested in doing in the future!
The topic of respect for childbirth in countries like mine is still taboo. In my country, I believe that home birth is illegal. It is a good topic of conversation.

Living a natural life is a wonderful way to connect with the earth and with your own health and well-being. It seems like everything you do is interconnected—from what you eat, to how you care for your body, to raising your children. Each aspect of your life seems thoughtfully considered and aligned with a more natural, conscious way of living, @trucklife-family ! Kudos. Some people want to be like you, many people are afraid to try, and a much greater number don't get it. I'm like one of those who admire what you are doing.

The human race is so busy racing forward to that next new 'discovery' that we often miss what's right in front of us and always has been. There is wisdom to be had in nature and our surroundings. We just need to pay attention.
Thank you for sharing and have a lovely day!
People have to be disconnected from (inner and outer) nature to be able to be manipulated, controlled, and enslaved. The natural way is the only way to go. Beautifully expressed, @trucklife-family. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
