Warmest greetings to this great community of brave and fighting women. I came to this community by reading the posts of a great lady called @sacra97, maybe she doesn't know me but I am her faithful follower. Reading her posts I saw an initiative called Ladies of Hive Community Contest #206 and the following question caught my attention:

What travel destination has impacted you the most and why?

What a question! So many memories, so many experiences lived, so many paths traveled, so many memories that come to mind to answer this question.

Seven years ago I made one of the most difficult decisions I have made so far: to leave the country. Three years before leaving I had graduated from the university with a degree in Education with a major in mathematics.

I made many sacrifices to be able to have that long-awaited university degree until I finally got it. Full of dreams, I began to work as a teacher in a government educational institution; I had obtained my teaching position.

But unfortunately the situation in the country began to decline and my family and I considered the opportunity to go and look for other opportunities in life and progress. Little by little our family was navigating through different destinations and I decided to head towards a destination that seemed friendlier to me: Colombia, since a sister who had left two years earlier lived there and promised to welcome me.
I had to leave family behind, friends, acquaintances and coworkers, but the decision had already been made.

Colombia opened its doors to me, I will always be grateful for the receptiveness of this sister nation. I settled in a town called Sincelejo and began to forge my destiny. I had different jobs. I sold arepas on the street, I sold bread, I worked in stores, I set up a business selling empanadas and stuffed potatoes with my mother. Later, I did homework in our place of residence and my last job was as a manager of an optician's.
It is not easy to be in a foreign land, it is not easy to live outside your country, not everyone is doing well, others have been lucky and have had a successful path, I am very happy about that and I hope it continues to be that way. I pray for all those brave people who decided to emigrate that their destinies be full of victories.

I was not lucky enough to achieve financial stability, but I had the greatest of my blessings, having two beautiful children who for me were a great miracle since many years ago I had an operation for tumors in my ovaries and the probability of having children was very low. I started a family and built a home full of blessings, that has been one of my greatest triumphs.

If I have to choose a destination that has been shocking for me, it was definitely going to Colombia and achieving the wonderful miracle of being a MOTHER

Muy cordiales saludos a esta gran comunidad de mujeres luchadoras y valientes, llegué a esta comunidad viendo los post de una gran señora que se llama @sacra97, tal vez no me conozca pero soy su fiel seguidora. Leyendo sus post vi una iniciativa llamada Concurso comunitario de Ladies of Hive n.° 206 y me llamó mucho la atención la siguiente pregunta:

¿Qué destino de viaje te ha impactado más y por qué?

¡ Vaya pregunta ! Tantos recuerdos, tantas experiencias vividas, tantos caminos recorridos, tantos recuerdos que se me vienen a la mente para responder esta pregunta.

Hace siete años tomé una de las decisiones más difíciles que he tomado hasta los momentos: irme del país, tres años antes de marcharme me había graduado en la universidad de Lic. en Educación mención matemáticas.

Hice muchos sacrificios para poder tener ese ansiado título universitario hasta que al fin lo conseguí, llena de sueños empecé a trabajar como docente en una institución educativa del gobierno, había obtenido mi cargo de docente.

Pero lamentablemente la situación del país empezó a decaer y mi familia y yo barajeamos la oportunidad de irnos a buscar otras oportunidades de vida y de progreso. Poco a poco nuestra familia fue navegando por destinos diferente y yo decidí emprender rumbo hacia un destino que me parecía más amigable: hacia Colombia, ya que allí residía una hermana que se había ido dos años antes y se comprometió a recibirme.
Tuve que dejar familiares atrás, amigos, conocidos y compañeros de trabajo, pero la decisión ya estaba tomada.

Colombia me abrió sus puertas, siempre estaré agradecida de la receptividad de este pueblo hermano. Me residencié en un pueblo llamado Sincelejo y empecé a forjar mi destino, tuve diferentes trabajos, vendí en la calle arepas, vendí pan, trabajé en tiendas, monté un negocio de empanadas y papas rellenas junto con mi mamá, posteriormente di tareas dirigidas en nuestro lugar de residencia y mi último trabajo fue como encargada de una óptica.
No es fácil estar en suelo ajeno, no es fácil vivir fuera de tu país, no a todos les va bien, otros han corrido con suerte y han tenido un camino de éxitos, me alegro mucho por ello y deseo que siga siendo así. Pido para todos aquellos valientes que decidieron emigrar que sus destinos estén llenos de victorias.

Yo no corrí con suerte de lograr estabilidad financiera, pero tuve las mayores de mis bendiciones, tener dos hermosos hijos que para mí fueron un gran milagro ya que hace muchos años fui operada de tumores en mis ovarios y la probabilidad de tener hijos eran muy bajas Formé una familia y construí un hogar llenos de bendiciones, ese ha sido uno de mis mayores triunfos.

Si tengo que escoger un destino impactante para mí, definitivamente fue el haber ido a Colombia y lograr allá el milagro maravilloso de ser MADRE
