By Picasso I agree with you on Dante Alighieri (Divine Comedy) offering a comprehensive depiction of human life, divine justice and the search for redemption, while at the same time criticising his time and expressing his personal beliefs.

Botticelli's Inferno - bears to Bosch

By Picasso I meant his Guernica, and its stark representation of the cost of war ... some of Picasso's figures are reminiscent of Bosch's.

That Botticelli is terrifying ... the details as one looks down ... it does bring the inferno to life in its human misery
