Ecency 4.4.0: Points, tips, and easier payments

in Ecency23 hours ago

Supporting creators and powering your account should be simple, even if you are brand new to crypto. 4.4.0 makes that real.

Buy Points with a card

You can now top up your Ecency Points with a credit or debit card through a secure Stripe checkout. No exchange, no wallet setup, no crypto knowledge required. Points let you boost posts, promote, and more across Ecency.

Pay with Apple Pay or Google Pay

Checkout now supports device wallets, so you can buy Points in a single tap with Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Tip from almost anywhere

A tip button now appears on comments, on feed cards, and in decks. Showing appreciation for a great post or comment is now one click away, wherever you happen to be.

Never get stuck without Resource Credits

Hive actions use Resource Credits (RC), and running low can quietly block your post. Ecency now checks your RC before you publish, and if you are low, it guides you to top up so your post actually goes through. No more silent failures.

Premium, by card

You can now upgrade to a premium account directly with a card on the web. Clearer purchase steps and a dedicated QR option round out a much smoother buying experience.

Together these changes lower the barrier for new users and make it easier for everyone to support the creators they value.

Tomorrow: safer logins and stronger security. Follow @ecency.

This is amazing update; it will save me from embarrassing situations. The part I love most is, "Ecency will check RC level before allowing me to publish". I have been embarrassed in the past when I failed to publish due to low RC; that problem is over. Thanks for the innovation.

Indeed now website and upcoming mobile app update proactively suggest user to top up RC by using points and direct purchase of points also instant with credit cards. So no more slowdown for new comers

Can we spend points to give others a HP delegate from Ecency or do they have to do that manually?
I have had a little bit of trouble with that every now and then. Sometimes I can, sometimes I cant xD

We can check but you can always transfer to them and they can do the request

I know.... Its just easier to use this account and sent to other people as random gifts and such :D

Simple features attract people and make the user experience easier. Thank you Ecency.

Impressive indeed

This is exactly what Web3 needs – ease of use for total newbies to support creators without deep crypto knowledge. The tipping feature is a game changer, especially for African creators who had no easy way to get support before. Ecency is getting better!

Thanks for the information
