A new version of Ecency Mobile is rolling out to iOS and Android, packed with refinements across the wallet, profile, chat, and a brand-new way to discover Hive dApps right from the app.

🌐 Explore dApps
Discover and launch Hive-powered apps directly from inside Ecency. The new Explore dApps section brings the wider Hive ecosystem to your fingertips - no need to leave the app to try out games, tools, and services built on Hive. You can login to any dApp using Keychain/Keeper/Vault extensions. If dApp supports those login methods you can use them to login directly from Ecency and use favorite tools/services without requiring to provide your keys.
💼 Wallet, Simplified
The wallet has been redesigned for clarity and speed:
Cleaner layout - your balances, savings, and rewards are easier to scan at a glance
Improved refresh - wallet data updates faster and more reliably
Balance analytics - better visibility into your portfolio activity
Hivetx migration - transaction handling is now powered by
hivetx, modern blockchain library, for faster and more reliable broadcasts
👤 Profile Redesign
The profile page got a visual refresh with improved layout and typography. Waves are now embedded in your profile - your micro-posts and timeline live together in one place.
💬 Chat Performance
Chat bootstrap has been overhauled. Conversations load faster on app start, and overall chat performance is noticeably smoother.
⚡ Quick Share Improvements
Sharing posts and content from other apps into Ecency is more reliable, with a refined flow that gets your draft ready in fewer taps.

The Explore dApps section is the feature I didn't expect to care about — and then I kept thinking about it.
The integration with Keychain/Keeper/Vault means you're not just adding a dApp list. You're making Ecency the authenticated session layer for the Hive app ecosystem. A user logs into Ecency once, and from there they can push signatures to any dApp that supports the extension standard — without handing over keys or re-authenticating.
That's architecturally significant. Most 'dApp discovery' features are just curated link lists. This one is actually connecting the auth stack.
The hivetx migration in the same release is worth noting alongside this. Moving broadcast logic to a modern, lighter library while simultaneously opening up dApp browsing isn't coincidental — both changes are reducing the friction between 'reading Hive content' and 'doing things on Hive.' The wallet simplification is part of the same direction.
I wrote about Hive Keeper last week and the window.hive standardization effort. This release feels like the frontend layer catching up to where the signing standard is heading. The pieces are starting to fit together.
