in Ecency • 5 years ago (edited)

Hello Ka-Blog! 🙋

This time I'm excited for the second write-up of mine! So many ideas of different content that can be use. But today, I'm going to share my version of a simple menu from a well-known province in the Philippines and it's called "PIGAR-PIGAR (Stir Fry Beef & Cabbage)".

rrfmk5.jpg

Before I start, I will give you some idea about our menu. PIGAR-PIGAR, meaning "To Mix" is a popular delicacy in Pangasinan. It is traditionally made of thin slices of marinated beef & sauteed with spices, cauliflower or cabbage. Galvan Street in Dagupan City in Pangasinan is famous for Pigar-pigar.

And now let us look down below for the ingredients and step-by-step procedures. Let's begin mga Ka-Blog!

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo sirloin beef, tapa sliced
2 large onion, sliced thinly
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
Salt to taste
Cooking oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Fisrt, marinate the beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce and black pepper. You can add some salt depends on your taste. Set aside for about an hour.

  2. After marinating, in a cooking pan put enough oil for frying.

  3. Add the marinated beef to fry while stirring continously until tender.

  4. When the beef is already cooked, remove it from the pan and set aside.

  5. Next, put the sliced onion in the pan.Stir fry for about 3 minutes, remove it from the pan and also set aside.

  6. Lastly, stir fry the chopped cabbage in the same pan for 2-3 minutes. Then put back the cooked beef and onion and together stir for another minute and it's done.

Serve with hot rice and enjoy!!!

Hope you like my simple menu for today!
Thank you and see you on my next blog!
