I'm in Rio

in Ecency2 years ago

I got to Rio de Janeiro yesterday, I wouldn't call this vacation, I will be working normally, but I will be working from a different place.

Yesterday I didn't even have the time or the energy to admire the city. The city is big and everything is full, because it is "vacation season" in Brazil. My legs were hurt and I was feeling dehydrated because I had to walk a lot to find cheap, yet good, places to sleep.

I slept well and I feel renewed. Now need to conciliate working and tourism.

The place I m staying has dedicated rooms for home office, and they have stunning views. I am gonna like it working from here, gonna like even more taking some breaks to explore.

Oh, at a hostel I was, I had the opportunity to interact with a lot of people from all over the world, from fellow Brazilians, to Mexicans, Northern Europeans, other latin friends. I was an exchange student to Mexico when I was a teenager and there I learned that I love practicing languages with foreigners.

This is a cool city not only to discover Brazil, but to have contact with people from all over the world. I tried practicing my French Belgium girl, my Spanish with some Mexicans and English with everyone else.
