Back Story
Exactly Two days ago and more than 48 hours ago, my medium.com account gave me a red notification saying it was either suspended or under investigation.
I checked and could not post any content on my medium account anymore. On YouTube when I searched for this issue, the top video said to give up on this in its entirety and in fact delete your current account from settings and then create an account under the same username well I was not going to give up that easily.
The Exact Steps I Took For Restoring My Medium.com Account
Below are the exact steps I took but please take note you must note down the recommended steps only as they are the correct channels for communication and I will tag them as such:
- I contacted Medium Support On Twitter And Notified them immediately of the issue I was facing (Not Recommended)
- I contacted Medium On the official Medium Mastodon Server (Not Recommended)
https://me.dm/@liquidocelot/110733587966960229 - I submitted a ticket at help.medium.com (Recommended)
- I emailed an appeal to [email protected] (Recommended)
- I went to the Slack group of Illumination publications to consult with a seasonal professional in this domain
Dr Mehmet Yildiz who is also the owner of Illumination publication as well. - After consultation, he said there might be a probability that my medium account went into the spam folder by mistake and if it is get restored in that case this probably becomes a fact however he also said that if after two days, my account does not get restored then maybe my account will go into a lifetime ban.
The Results Of My Appeal Process
Well as you can see, the result is a 100 percent success, and my medium.com account is fully restored. I will give a summary of the email sent to me by the Medium.com trust and safety department and they confirmed that my Medium.com account went accidentally into the spam folder and was fully restored 100 percent.
What Medium.com Terms Of Services You Should Avoid Which Most People Get Into The Trap Of
Here are the three most common traps that most people on medium.com find them selves in when violating Medium.com Terms of services:
- Do not post AI-assisted content
- Do not follow 150 medium.com accounts per day for the Follow 4 Follow strategy which is famous for other social media websites especially Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram but not accepted here.
Special Thanks To Dr. Mehmet Yildiz
I think when I asked Dr. Mehmet Yildiz for consultation regarding this issue of mine, I made the best decision as he rightly pointed out a terminology I could not have found anywhere on the internet or from anybody really.
All I can say is a huge Thank you to the Phd Doctor for helping me out in such a crisis situation.
